So I'm starting to become less result oriented again.
Going around in circles on this.

I've decided to do 200 hands per day.
I will do it on Full ring since 6-max and headsup demand that I be more loose.
I don't play loose so it is pointless for me to waste my time on it.

Today I played those 200 hands.

I also got many lessons that I will summarize here.

I don't pay attention to the relevant statistics when I make decisions.
Trying to bluff a person with 60% to showdown isn't a smart move.
The statistics is only helpful if you pay attention to them.

Pay attention to your emotions when you lose to suckouts.

I need to practice the standard lines heads-up more.
They are starting to make some sense.

I'm sitting playing to participate in those 200 hands per day.
Not to care about the result of those hands.
Only what choices I make should I care about.
Let go of the attachment to the result once again.
You have to make your choice and let the opponent
choose whatever he damn well pleases.

It is easy to focus too much upon one annoying player.
Only to have the other one bite you in the ass with an obvious monster.
And he was only annoying cause it bothered you that he sucked out last hand.

Accept that you have much to learn.

Finished 200 hands today too.

I've gotten into the habit of taking notes under the session on a piece of paper.

These observations are really spot on, but gets lost in all the drama of a session.

Changing my hud to include only what is relevant was really easy.
I only kept VPIP, PFR, 3 bet before flop, number of hands,
went to showdown when seen flop, and player name.

Removing the number of $ earned was a major relief on the
result orientation. It is hard to ignore that number ticking up and down.
This relives tilt as nothing else.

Still the new solution was slightly offsetting for the 10 first hands.

People slowplayed me all over the place.
Every time I had top-pair or more some dumbass is slowplaying two-pair++
It gets a bit annoying after a while. ♠_mad:

Falling in love with JJ can be deadly.

The best tables are in demand, but when the line is 6+ by the time you sit down
you are at another table then the one you wanted to sit.

I need to spend a lot more time on the standard lines article.
It has helped me some so far, but still I'm unsure.

A fun fact is that I only seem to get and win with two apir or better
each 40th hand. A rough estimate from 2K hands on sidekick.

When I tilt I lose the edge I has when I'm on top.
It isn't to large so when I tilt I usually lose.
I tilt when I start imagine the other party chuckling at the other end.
I should stop imagining an imaginary opponent that look down upon me.

Had a draw to nothing when I mis-counted and imagined that
Q to 7 made a straigth with the Jack missing.
Need to start counting my straingts as top card minus 4, it is just too
expensive a mistake in the longrun.

One more day of 200 hands played.
I notice that playing everyday really makes me better.

Lessons from today:

I need to follow my own rules and pay attention to hud statistics.
It is no excuse getting into tricky situations you should have stayed
clear of if you had only paid attention.

I've come to realize that an investment mindset keeps me far less tilty.

Every time I lose bad I make a note of it in my notepad.
Not only does it remind me what hands to post in the forum,
but it also allows me to let go of the hand mentally and avoid tilt.

If I have to wait too long to play on my limit, I should just
seek out a soft game on 2c/4c to keep me occupied while in waitinglist.
Practice is practice and I usually win a few cents while I'm at it.

I was reminded of a strategy saying while playing.

"You don't defend a position you cannot hold."

To remind me that rags cannot be defended and should be thrown away.
They are like a position that cannot be held.

I should really keep the preflop action more in mind when I decide if the
opponent has anything good.

Last couple of days I've not followed trugh with my 200 a day plan.
Reason was that it collided with a workshop I was holding.
Only so many hours in the day.

Anyway that is over now and I look forward to continuing.
I played some 5-card draw on thuesday, and that was a fun experience.
I only played playmoney 5-card as I'm a big big fish in that game.

After lots of back and forth.
I've realized that I need to redefine yet again what poker is about for me.

I had hopes for it becoming a way of living, and I had started positioning myself for that.
I realize now that the idea of this was far fetched.

Luckily I've discovered that everything I've learned in poker corresponds to the stock market.
I was making up my mind about what to do with a sizeable portion of my savings
when it hit me that going into stocks might be the thing.
So I tried it, and it is even easier to make money there than in poker. ♠_cool:

Now I get that there is a lot of risk involved there.
But hey in the stock market you can take your time evaluating the stock and decide if
you want to make a bet.
While in poker you have a nasty timer and a blind bet threatening your money.
So there is less pressure to enter any particular stock.
You can play real tight in the stock market and none will come up and attack your
blinds so to speak to punish you.
In essence it has a lot of advantages that seem real obvious from a poker frame of mind.

Now I will still play poker, but more for fun.
By that I mean that I don't aspire to eventualy earn a living of it.
I believe I have a better chance of earning a living from stocks than poker.

Just putting it out there so you know that my level of seriousness has dropped a bit.
I think I will play some 5 card-draw going forward.
Not that I will abandon limit holdem.
