Hi,

Villain is 14/11 85h

[F] Villain appear to be solid, so his donk is somewhat strong. Think he can have Jx, Jx or Tx + fd, something in this line.

I raise for value with my overpair and he shoves. He can have JT, J+fd or another strong hand that he decided to donk with.

What do you think of my call?

MP2    17.84%  17.63%   0.22% { TT, 44, JTs, KsQs, Qs9s, 9s8s, JTo, AsJc, KsJc, 9s8d }
MP3    82.16%  81.94%   0.22% { QQ }

Thanks

You say Villian seemed to be strong but yet you made a HUGE raise on the flop?
4x raise pre is also too big, 3x is more standard.

A Villain playing tag usually isnt calling a 4x pre with JT or J4 etc. So its most likely he is calling with a pocket pair looking to hit a set. I never feel comfortable getting 80+bb in on a draw heavy board.
You have to think why would he be leading the flop? When he leads for 180, I would raise and see where I am at. If he shove I am done with that hand as he is never showing up with worse than 2 pair.

Affluenza.

Hello all,

Wp. I would play it the same way. Villain easily can have strong draw or strong TP. Of course some time he got two pairs or a set but against all his range with the money in the middle stacking off is fine. I'm not very happy to do it but we can't fold over pair on this drawy board.

Guys if you have any questions, do not hesitate to write in this thread by clicking the button or

Best regards,
