Have kicked some grinding motivation to my lazy ass this month also. Around 150 games per day so far. Had some reminder of variance in first 6 days. Nice -2.8k$ after those as prerakeback result. Then BOOM next day record day profit (2.24k$) followed by nice 820$ today. Back to plus in prerakeback :f_grin:

Bit over 17k VPP so far. Aiming for 60k+ month. Anyway bit smaller swings would be fine to me. Obviously those sky rocket upswings feels awesome, but... Well big part of it has come from 18man games.

Funny line in that 55 hand. Villain was obviously non believer though do you really bluff with such overshoves ever? More of standard line would be 300 in turn and shove river. Though maybe this looked more bluffy to him.

Thank you sir!

I am happy to hear you are preparing for SNE chase next year :) I think I saw you the other day on one table , we were left 4 handed I was CL shoved BTN A10s you woke up SB with JJ and I busted you out of tourney :)
Very interested in 18 mans, everybody keeps telling me they are very soft, considering learning the format and mixing it from January. Not sure how ROI is working there, what is possible hourly on 15s , what is necessary BR for them etc - perhaps you can elaborate on that a bit ?

Regarding 55 hand, the guy that was in the hand is in top 5 earners on 15s. I consider him as good player and in those spots he will put me on mid pp's that I am turning in bluff (since it was a 3 bet pot), especially the fact that Q repeated since he sees me as very agressive player he will rarely fold Ax there especially (he can also put me on Ax here, weaker kicker) and fd completed = since this is overbet shove = polarized ranges. Good news is agression pays off especially in these spots because they think I will bluff them in those spots but I turn the switch to value only vs regs and they level here and call me with weaker hands :)

Regarding hand posting, I stopped doing that for 3 key reasons :
1) Other regs will get insight into my play and exploit it
2) This blog is not meant for free education but rather as diary, keeping progress of whole improvement/playing process and other life things
3) There is hand evaluation forum for such things

Failed

Haha perhaps but these hands are just bad beats , the 55 hand gives some insight but I doubt that based on that one hand they can own me post flop :)

Yeah imo drop the hand posting all together if you don't want to post interesting hands, this is a bit useless imo. Nice poker office btw, but I already told you that ( yes I did see the video :f_biggrin: )

Done with bubble review. Spotted 2 hands where I made w/nash calls , considering FGS and aggressive regs and their w/nash ranges, they were +ev calls so I guess they were both good and bad calls depending on what we expect regs to show there.
Heading to tables now, goal is 100 for today minimum, will try to hit 150 by 3am.

In A2 hand, if hero shove any2 villain AJo call will show -1.05%. Nash call range is 77+, AQs+. If hero minraise with premium hands as induce and shove everything else (lets say minraise range is 99+, ATs+, AJo) then calling AJo will show -0.38% I don't believe middle stack should really be doing -EV calls here ever.

In A8 hand nash is 52.8%, 22+ Ax+ K2s+ K4o+ Q2s+ Q8o+ J2s+ J8o+ T4s+ T8o+ 95s+ 98o 85s+ 75s+ 64s+ 53s+ 43s and BB call 9.3%, 77+ A8s+ ATo+ KQs. KQo has -0.72%. If hero shove 61.7%, 22+ Kx+ Q2s+ Q6o+ J2s+ J7o+ T2s+ T7o+ 94s+ 97o+ 84s+ 87o 74s+ 63s+ 53s+ 43s then KQo starts to be marginal call. So reasonable call with reads.

In KJs hand villain induce might be good. Checked with hrc basic and advanced style.

AQs shove in nash would show +1.64%. Hero calling 10.9%, 77+ A8s+ A9o+ KJs+.

In advanced format SB would raise to 500 with 30.6%, 77+ Ax+ K9s+ K9o+ Q9s+ Q9o+ J9s+ J9o+ T9o and hero would 3bet shove with 43.0%, 22+ A2s+ A7o+ A5o-A3o K2s+ K9o+ Q2s+ Q9o+ J3s+ J9o+ T6s+ T8o+ 96s+ 85s+ 74s+ 64s+ 53s+ 43s. Then AQs induce would show +3.57. If hero call it's not bad outcome for villain with such hand.

Now if hero shove with 21.9%, 22+ A2s+ A9o+ K7s+ KJo+ Q8s+ QJo J8s+ T8s+ 98s 87s then AQs induce would show +1.39%. From range balance view this probably helps SB to get more of his steals through as his induce range will be bit wider.

Very interested to hear why you think it so.

AJo is -ev call even when I am shoving ATC there which against reg I would cause I expect him to know nash and fold tons of his range there. Considering FGS he might be calling me to slow me down a bit from ATC. Unfortunately this is the same reg who called me with KQo hand so I must readjust a bit or simply continue running him over with better +EV% in the prize pool expectation.

For KQo call vs CL in my opinion can work in hypers because of FGS assuming that I am shoving nash there and even then is questionable for couple of reasons: 1) I would never shove full nash there 2) I would have also raise/calling raise/folding range depending on setup of opponents 3) In this particular setup there was a fish on SB and TAG reg in BB who doesn't 3 bet shove wide enough so whenever I am shoving here it is extended value (hands that I am not happy with raise calling for example). Considering all that its a huge -ev call from reg (its always better to take shove then call , so perhaps couple of blinds later he could shoved nash or w/nash into me and extend his tourney life).

AQs r/calling MID vs CL is very questionable hand and open for discussion. I think I know why you consider it correct to raise call here , will give it a shot guessing. If we are raise folding AQs here then what the hell are we raise calling ! Aggressive reg will exploit us with 3 bets, in future games and spots like this we have to adopt different strategy such as 1) limp stab 2) open shoving 2) narrow and/or balance our raise calling and raise folding range more. Since this opponent doesn't think in those terms or doesn't know what the hell he is doing ICM wise, this was simply for him "I got AQs and I am never folding it".
I could have just called, played this IP, for some reason I 3 bet shoved (nash ofc) expecting him to raise call with super tight range but I was wrong perhaps to do so :)
P.S. I would open shove AQs if I was him and not just that but full nash if opponent SS is very aggressive vs me in this stack setup and knowing that CL (hero) would miss some calls to keep bubble alive and abuse them.

What a great analysis thank you Ghaleon!
My holdem resources is not working but I got ICMIZER going on and it does the same thing.
Hand 1 , he should fold already wrote about it in previous post.

Hand 2 nash 52.8%, 22+ Ax+ K2s+ K4o+ Q2s+ Q8o+ J2s+ J8o+ T4s+ T8o+ 95s+ 98o 85s+ 75s+ 64s+ 53s+ 43s and BB call 9.3%, 77+ A8s+ ATo+ KQs. KQo has -0.72%
From this range I will not open shove everything, I will do it with tighter range, also have raise calling and raise folding range. Basically when I am open shoving here , it is always tighter than nash (obviously) which makes his KQo call even worse and bigger -EV % .

Hand 3 such a great and advanced analysis unfortunately opponents at 15s don't think in those ways and terms so range balance is out of the window
Also this : In advanced format SB would raise to 500 with 30.6%, 77+ Ax+ K9s+ K9o+ Q9s+ Q9o+ J9s+ J9o+ T9o and hero would 3bet shove with 43.0%, 22+ A2s+ A7o+ A5o-A3o K2s+ K9o+ Q2s+ Q9o+ J3s+ J9o+ T6s+ T8o+ 96s+ 85s+ 74s+ 64s+ 53s+ 43s.
I believe that will vary quite a lot , both ways. Some guys would raise there any pp, some would do it also with any ace any king any queen , some on the other side will narrow the raise there to raise calling range exlusively. My 3 bet in this spot changes based on how I see the opponent. If I think he is opening wider than nash and his calling range is still tight , I am 3 bet shoving very wide (not to give information out but you can kinda guess how wide ). In other spots if it is adjusting reg, I would still 3 bet shove nash here (which I did) expecting him to raise call nash.
Overall very good and interesting hand to analyze.

Would you have played any of these hands (if you were in their or my spot) any different? Perhaps flat call KJs, play post flop IP , try to dominate on certain boards etc ?

Hello Ivica,

i play 15$ 6max turbo SNG's on pokerstars and i have agree with VladimirN that you are one of the worst players i have ever seen including drunk old gamblers playing for pint of beer from my local pub.
I am sure you going that you going broke in next two weeks.
Unlike VladimrN i'm not on downswing nor running below EV and you didn't suck out on me so don't hold any personal grudge against you.

Also i have watched Ivica Iliev against Newcastle and i have to admit that you chose your nick very good, because he was as bad football player, as you are poker player.
Good luck and have fun!

Steve

the AJ call is the only real 'close' one imo.
if you assume SB induces AQ/99+ and open shoves everything else AJs is +$EV . and AJo is small loser. It's probably still a fold, but its not the worst call i've ever seen.

but the other 2 aren't close and quite standard imo.
