Hey everyone,Time to bump ye' ol' blog. I will not be around the forums that much until beginning of August and will almost definitely not do any coachings. I think I've told all the students in private as well but mentioning it a second time is good and also for others to keep in mind if they are interested.
I will need some help from someone when I come back though. Here's the plan:
FREE COACHING FOR LANGUAGE TEACHING/PRACTICE
What I offer:
- one 60-90 minutes coaching session per week
- answer questions in private on Skype regarding theory, mindset, hands, etc. What I want:
- native German speaker that has very good English.
- availability to small talk 60-90 minutes/week just so I practice conversation
- plays NL50 or lower (just so I can maximize the help I offer, I can discuss poker for higher stakes as well if you want)
- willingness to correct my mistakes all the timeI would prefer you to be Austrian just because I live in Austria so want to learn typical for the area. Actually being in Vienna would be best of course. ♦
Post your answers here and contact me in private via the community tool or on Skype if you have me there. I want to start this in August and it should go on for about 2 months, depending on how we get along. If I choose you but don't feel like it's working I reserve the right to cut it short, same for you if you think my advice is not worth the time for you, no hard feelings either way.
Hi Emanuel,
I am German and fluent in English (since I gonna make my Master in the UK hopefully). ![]()
I am playing NL5 FR since my transition to SH failed and I am currently 25 stacks down. I admit having the worst possible mindset in the whole PS community but am still playing, since I have already beaten NL2 und 5 FR before. I would really like to transition to SH, but since my huge downswing I was so disappointed that I gave it up. (SH is better for future Limits and clearing FDB's on other poker rooms.
I started in April with Poker.
Added you @ Camtool.
Bests!
PS: Most important part: I have plenty of time
Wow, it's been a while since I posted here.
Some updates from me:
1) Tomorrow's coaching will hopefully still be on Twitch.tv. If you read around, you saw that some PS streaming accounts got disabled. If it won't be streamed on Twitch.tv, I really don't know what is the best approach. If you have suggestions, fire away.
2) Managed to set myself an OK schedule for playing. If in April/May I was playing here and there on a smaller website, starting July I managed to get myself grinding on FTP. I got a sort of trial for Black Card (being a reg there pre BF seems to be quite good), tried out the field/competition and the rewards. Definitely worth playing, especially if you don't have a lot of time. What I usually do is get to play about 2 - 2.5 hours per day exactly during Happy Hours. Might update with some hands from there since it's been interesting. There are times when NL50 doesn't run so if you play NL50 you have to choose your time of the day accordingly. NL100 always runs, which is good.
3) I might be at the Budapest Diamond event. Never been to Budapest before, it's quite close to Vienna, PS event, seems like the best time to check it out.
Well, look at what appeared on the Amazon website!
On amazon you can read the first few sites. Looks decent and I will give it a try for sure. The price is also a snapcall
