No worries, best of luck!

Don't forget the marketing code "strategy-en"

Hi,
I've started playing HU NL and I realize that I'm quite good at it. I've been playing $0.05/$0.10 and $0.02/$0.04 limits at poker770 and I'm really enjoying myself, but the problem is that the rake rate is killing me:
$0.01 for each $0.15 in the Pot---Max. Rate=$1.00 (the rake cap for $10/$20 and $0.02/$0.04 are the same!)
I've looked into the other poker rooms, and the limits there mostly start from $0.25/$0.50.
Is there another poker room with micro stake heads up tables with better rake rates, or do I have to move up the stakes, or leave heads up altogether?

Hey godfather2007

I can't speak from my own experiences but I know that Heads up rake is devastating at the low limits. You could try a room like Wincake which has 36% rakeback to minimize the blow a bit but i think wherever you go on the micros HU you are going to have trouble with rake.

Yeah, I figured as much. I might be better off sticking to FR.
Thanks

Hi ,

I want to deposit 100$ and to grind it up playing zoom , rush, speed poker.

I have accounts on Stars, FullTilt, Party.

1. Which game type you play? zoom-NL

2. Which limit do you play? 2NL-5NL

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up? SH

4. How much do you play? 4h-day , lets say 25h/weekly

5. How many tables do you want to play? 2-3, zoom tables

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months? I really want to grind up this small bankroll and to climb in limits with a BRM of 50buyins. 100% first bonus will be very helpfull as well as any other races, freeroll for new players etc.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help! :)

Hey dragtobeteeeee,

iPoker's Speed Poker starts at NL5 so I'm afraid that is not an option unless you are willing to deposit more or start with 20 buy-ins.

Starting with 20BI isn't so bad if you can top up if necessary down the line.

iPoker's Speed is quite soft so you may be OK with 20BI as well.

Aside from that, you can always stick with Zoom.

Let me know what you think please.

Gary

Good luck then! Might see you at the tables very soon :P

I'm also hoping to play some NL5 Speed

Don't forget to track your Betfair account!

Gary

Hi, I'd like to deposit about 100-200$ somewhere. I play only NL. My goal is to boost my BR in the coming 3 months (1000$ would be fine ). I assume I have to play MTT's. First of all, I plan to make a schedule of the tournaments that I intend to play, so I'm not sure how long I'll be playing a week. I like PS, but the field there is too big and I think there are a lot of regs in tourneys. I need a room where the field is not that big (<1000 people) and a juicy one. I intend to make profit and not play vs regs or other skilled players. And yes, I am able to multitable.

PS I'd like to read some threads about people who boosted their BR from 100-200$. What games are best to make profit?

Hey vito992

Fortuantely you get a First Deposit Bonus at most if not all rooms these days so that's a good start. Yeah i'd say you'll need to bink a few tourneys to get your bankroll up to 1000 from a $200 start.

It'll be difficult to find a room with no regs or skilled players, personally I think that although rooms like stars do have more regs and skilled players, the amount of fish probably makes up for it so the proportion stays around the same.
Nevertheless I recommend going to PKR. You get a decent FDB plus 30% rakeback and the player pool is quite small comparatively.

Hope this helped. Feel free to comeback with more questions if need be.

Regards,
Luke

Hey TinciBAD

What rooms do you have an account with? I'm guessing you've probably already got one with stars. Off hand i'd say going to ipoker is probably ideal but will be able to make more suitable recommendations knowing your current accounts.

Luke

Hi TinciBAD,

if you're a heads-up player you probably don't pay massive amounts of rake, thus Betfair is probably the best deal you can get at the moment.
That's mostly because our exclusive rake race is very soft at the moment - you can find a rough overview about how much total rakeback you can get from the race and VIP reward system combined here:

Our exclusive VIP offer at Betfair Poker

Betfair operates on the iPoker network, so you will find plenty of opponents on your stake level.

Should you already have an account there, they even allow re-tracking of inactive accounts that aren't tracked to another affiliate. In that case simply write us a Ticket and we'll see what we can do :)

Unfortunately PKR is not allowed in Belgium :(

Any other suggestions?

Hey Vito992

Sorry for the late reply. Ok if PKR isn't an option then try Unibet for the same reasons.

Luke

Hey,
Which rooms have the most micro buy-in HU tournaments. I'm currently playing at poker770.
