Wait sorry - Why is this a beginners question? I am looking for advice from the entire forum regarding regular use/ gaming.

It's not just for beginners -- it is just that a LOT of member check here, and in this forum it will get the most attention.

I don't think that model is all that relevant as long as:
It is comfortable in your hand
You can reach all the buttons easily

What is most important is that your wrist is dead straight from the back of your hand along your forearm.

Just as important is your forearm position.
It should be parallel to the floor -- you should not be using muscle to hold it in position for long periods. Your shoulders should be relaxed.

Also, every few minutes, shake your hand around -- yes you can do this even while 12-tabling. If you can, do a "sit out all" for one hand.

This is the ergonomics guide we use at work.

There is a lot more in there than just mouse position.

I've been working w/ computers all day at work, and playing with them at home for 15 years, and except for my right shoulder I'm fine.

Regards,

No weight adjustment - I think I just need to improve my technique (never thought I would say that regarding a mouse - that was before I became a degenerate )

Choose one that's hard to move. It gives you time to reflect on your decisions!

The mouse I have is meant to be good for this kind of thing - I think it comes down to just literally playing like 10 hours a day

Mega degen mode hahahaha

That will definitely be the main problem for any health issues more than what mouse you use.

Take some breaks and do some exercise during sessions, even if it's only walking up and down the stairs a few times and shaking your arms out.
