Added @both.

Going a week vacation to Germany/Berlin. Leaving tomorrow, so I'll be back next week.

Month so far:

^Mix of 30s and 15s. ~80% are on 30s.

Not the best volume but I've been working on my thesis abit, been also slacking off abit from time to time. Good thing is I've been playing pretty good lately. EV ROI is at 4% on 30s as well.

Back from vacation. Will spend half day tomorrow reviewing some hands along with re-reading/watching some HUSNG theory. Hope to play some games tomorrow as well.

I'll try to post some hands that were played badly from me here.

That J high call is absurd  I think you played it fine, there are a bunch of missed draws, 8x should really be folding and you can definitely play Qx or Ax that way.

2K hand is indeed a spewy play, i'm guessing I don't need to go through it and you already know where you went wrong?

T5 hand, call flop, if it's his first c/r (small sample I know) then we're in a fairly bad way when we jam and get called, and we probably have very little fold equity. There are certainly worse hands to be getting it in with (I wouldn't mind getting it in with A5 here because it means if we get it in vs another draw and we both brick we actually have a chance of winning). So call flop, on turn i'd put him on a variety of draws and bet something like t100, and barrel safe rivers when called.

Sorry it's a bit rushed and not much thorough analysis has gone into it, but i'm in a rush

Low volume month. Was on vacation for a week. Going to set a goal next month at least 4k games. Well it also depends how much time I need to finish my thesis. Thesis is the worse thing in life IMO.

Rating my own month how good/bad I played without being result oriented. Started doing this daily already but going to post the monthly avg here. Reason is to further improve both my mental and technical aspect of the game.

Tilt & Mental game: 8/10
Pretty happy with my mental/tilt game. Compared to back than where I get frustrated alot about stupid things. Now it doesn't happen anymore. When I get angry its because a bad play of me (regardless result) and/or running ultra bad. But this "angryness" don't impact my game anymore, after a minute orso my mind sorta resets and my attitude towards the game is back to normal. Obviously I'm not tilt free and still tilt from time to time but its MUCH better now.

Poker game (skill aspect): 8/10
Actually two sided. I improved ALOT this month, especially by adding the 30s which I took the month more serious. Like everyone else I'm still making mistakes and sometimes the most stupid ones as well. But overall pretty happy.

Motivation/volume: 7/10
Despite being on vacation and working abit on thesis I felt I coulda putted more volume for sure. Atm I avg about 5 hrs per playing day. I need to pump this up to 6-7 hrs.

Anyway... September giraffe

Bluffing without perceived range @ villain. Am I understanding the term "perceived range" correct?

It has come again that my mental game needed some work and it started to pay off today. I'll try to keep the story short what happened this week. I recommend this method for anyone trying to do something about their mental game, it might work for you!

Early this week Tuesday and Wednesday it finally happened: the downswing. It was bound to happen sooner or later (I know the variance of hypers) but when it came it was like an instant -$1000. Number wise it seemed alot (and it is for most of us) but its just ~35BI which is pretty normal in hypers. I did a very good job handling such swings on the 15s but this was the first one on 30s and I hurts. I just didn't feel good and I quickly noticed my poker game was way off. I know this because I keep track how good my mental and poker game is after every session. My poker game was off.

So I took this challenge that from now on I will only check my bankroll/results/graph at the end of every week (sunday). I will also try to post them here so I know I'm not cheating on myself.

After taking this own challenge the Thursday session went about usual. Didn't play bad or good: I couldn't check the graph but I feel its around BE. Now Friday was the day where I was running fucking bad but surprisingly I was handling it very well mental wise. Card distribution and variance just fucked me there, running vs top ranges vs fishes. The reason why I played my best was because I didn't give a shit what the outcome were anymore because I can't check my results. So this is what I kinda needed.

Today, I felt I played my game at its best. I'm pretty sure I'm super below EV today but my mental and poker game was so good.

I'll see what happens tomorrow and will check out the graph after tomorrow's session.

Its actually (fun? , well not really but its not boring for sure) that every time I think my mental game is good there is a leak somewhere that requires a new challenge.

GL on not checking results. I started doing it a while ago and really like it. Instead of checking weekly, I started with checking every 10k hands but I will probably go to checking monthly. :)

Yeah checking at X games for me might be an idea as well.

Just checked the results, break even for this week I guess. Really happy about how I played the last two days.

what is the penalty for checking the results?

Maybe send 5$ to everyone who posts in your blog?
