This one was unfortunate. He was probably x/f anyway. In chat he typed
"Huehuehuehueheuhuahueheuehe". They really should make a 'pool chat' for zoom, that would be fun.

This month I've been playing and getting my arse handed to me at nl25 zoom. One minute I'm having shots at nl100 zoom, next I'm getting fucking beaten up at nl25 zoom. It's fucking frustrating. Because I've worked hard and I definitely know more, 'think' I'm a better player than I have been previously, but I just keep getting fucking schooled.

Two recent highlights, include getting a nut flush in against a straight flush for 200bb. And secondly, I played my biggest session in a day, 8 hours and almost 7k hands in a day. I think I played pretty well that day. At one stage I was up about 6 buyins but ended the day I think slightly below breakeven.

I just don't know if I'm bad or suffering from variance. In all likelihood, probably both, I'm definitely running way below ev this month. But I think there is something seriously wrong when I'm at a peak to trough drawdown of around 60 odd buyins across multiple limits.

The worst part is I don't think I have been tilting or spewing money away. I'm just bad, losing money without even knowing why. I fucking watch coaching videos pause them and decide my play and then see what coaches would do and I'm getting closer and closer to coaches actual play. But.... I just keep losing buyins... I was a better player when I knew less...

So, I've come to the conclusion, I have to get some help. A coach. Who should I get? I don't know.

I'd like to go with someone from pokerstrategy, but who is the best fit for me? I'm tossing up, in no particular order between mbml, pleno1, oblioo and maybe raskolnikov. If anyone reads this and has any advice, please chime in.

My immediate goal, which I'd like to think is achievable, is winning at nl200. And further ambitions. I know it must sound fucking stupid, but it feels like I am so close to to getting there I can almost touch it. But also so far away that perhaps it's all just an impossible dream.

I can take criticism and can work hard and honestly think I'm the perfect fucking student. I could be a fucking fantastic success story or advert for a coach. On top of that, I'm also extremely modest.

But who can help me the most in the $/improvement stakes? Is one coaching a week plus homework enough? Is it worth getting a database analysis and working on that for a month before getting individual coaching? I don't know.
Fuck.

On a different note, I had a spare 20$ in my moneybookers account. So I decided to bet it on Cadel Evans to win the cycling road race world champs tonight. With a double bet promotion, the $20 bought $40 at 101 to 1. So go Cadel. Seems like this 101 to 1 bet is my best chance of getting out of this gambling drawdown at the moment...
