Yo!

Got an hour sweat session in with Mal earlier which went well, he is comfortably taking the nice fishes at NL10 for all their money and should be back at NL25 in no time :).

Had a quick session with Erik aswell and got some things to be working on to help shake the rust off and get back to playing with a professional approach and mindset, just confirmed aswell that i really want to make it as a poker player and gain that financial freedom and lifestyle that is almost unique to being a good reg!

Hit silver aswell so can finally start posting hands again and get people to review my questionable approach to the game :f_biggrin:

On a lighter note instead of just droning on about poker poker poker all the time did anyone do anything stupid for halloween? .. Got a real late invite to a party and didn't have anything to go as so just wrapped myself in cling film and went as a condom... £5 and 120 meters of clingfilm later this was the Result:

Very worse for wear, going out to the pubs afterwards went down a treat aswell, everyone loved it, even the bouncers! haha

Good Luck at the tables! :)

Alot of bad play today which needs sorting out asap, cant be having another bad day like this again!

Also mixed in with a few setups, bad board run outs and coolers .. KKvsAA x2, QQvsKK, Flop set vs Flopped Flush, Flopped set vs Flopped 2 pair Turned into bigger FH.

Will have some hands to review though because some things i did today were bloody retarded. EG Spewing a BI with a FD ^^

Sweat set up sometime this week with holmeboy will be cool too after seeing him crush on his staking deal :)

Hey! :)

Today has been slightly better than yesterday and able to recoup a little of the losses! +2.5BI is a good start to recovering from that horrific -7Bi day haha.

Cut down to playing just 4 tables as im more bothered about working on my game and getting everything right but it just means only churning out hands at a rate of 200/h :f_cry: . Gonna set a Goal of 5000 hands by the end of the week, currently 2174/5000 and a long term goal to be back playing NL50 by the end of the year :)

Bought Manu, TT's & JB's book and so should be in monkeymode before the end of the week :f_biggrin:

Yo!

Played a fair bit yesterday and today, and up a BI which is cool but managed to highlight 2 massive but very basic leaks in my game that i worked hard on to plug before and i'm gonna work alot harder on now because it will enable me to progress into being a thinking player again! haha. Just a shame i didnt post how i got around it ¬.¬

- Hand Strength
&
- Not being able to let a pot go

I think its more a case of trying to play for every pot instead of slowing down, thinking properly about ranges, letting it go and moving on to the next, Giraffe for the week so far shows this with my absolutely abysmal SD winnings:

Saw a big turn around in my overall game when i got these under control last time, was able to make clear concise decisions so definitely gonna work hard to sort it out! Will be gold when the strategy points update so can start watching some videos and attending the coachings again which might give me an AHA moment lol. Slowly working through Education of a Modern Poker Player aswell, its a really good read!

Playing poker tomorrow at a friends house so hopefully be able to clean up _cool: ... 1st & 2nd places paid (generally £60/£20) £10BI ... Last time we played i lost 2pair vs a flush draw AIOF and bubbled in 3rd _cry: F**King Tourny variance :f_biggrin:

Hey Thazar good to hear from you!

How come you've decided to take a break from cash and switch to SNG's? Your understanding of the game was really solid and if you could've just run a little better when i was playing with you you would've been crushing life!!

Cheers, i'm sure you'll be crushing SNG's in no time too, what site you currently playing on? I'm on skype most the time so drop me a message if you're about :) I think last time around you helped improve my game so much by being able to bounce ideas off you all the time, that little study group was brilliant! haha

Home Game went ok, 5 of us at £20 a man, split £80/£20 .. Wasn't bubble boy this time at least, busted out with JJ vs QT in second to get my money back and my overall play wasnt too bad so can't complain at all! :)

Sweat

Had a good hour or so sweat with Holmeboy today which went fairly well, pulled me up on a few things, its not nice being in the spotlight :f_biggrin: Couple of interesting spots come up, this ones not a bankroll maker but every little counts :f_biggrin: :

PKR, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (BB): $43.54 (174.2 bb)
MP: $10.13 (40.5 bb)
CO: $28.10 (112.4 bb)
BTN: $25 (100 bb)
SB: $33.09 (132.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A 4
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.62, SB folds, Hero calls $0.37

Flop: ($1.34) K 8 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.89, Hero calls $0.89

Turn: ($3.12) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

River: ($3.12) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1, Hero raises to $3.33, BTN folds

BU is a reggy type on the nitty side: 13/11/24AFq .. (40RFI BU) 155 hands

On the flop i think its an easy call, he's going to be Cbetting almost his whole range on this dry flop and also we have a piece + BDFD. Could possibly make an arguement for X/R'ing and barreling any flush/4/A but the boards so dry we're only gonna get called or 3bet by hands that have us in real bad shape.

When he checked through the turn and bets so small on the river it looked to me like he was trying to valuebet maybe 99-TT or a hand like A8 Q8 which would be in his range pre and thought by raising here we'd be able to push him off this range of hands?

Good Luck at the tables

Yo!

Managing to turn this bad week around and starting to make a little bit of progress on my thought process aswell which is the most important thing!

Had a good session today and ended up +6BI in 663 hands, 74bb/100. Definitely sustainable :f_cool: Overall graph for the week is looking alot better than what it started out on monday

Little things like

PKR, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

CO: $26.76 (107 bb)
BTN: $36.26 (145 bb)
SB: $25 (100 bb)
BB: $28.26 (113 bb)
UTG: $27.19 (108.8 bb)
Hero (MP): $30.97 (123.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A J
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.75, CO folds, BTN calls $0.75, 2 folds

Flop: ($1.85) 4 3 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.50, Hero raises to $4, BTN calls $2.50

Turn: ($9.85) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $6, BTN calls $6

River: ($21.85) T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $21.85, Hero folds

Not sure how great this hand is played overall but not feeling committed to bluffing to not look weak & shoving my remaining stack on the river is something that has been worked on this week and clearly gonna do me a whole world of good and save me alot of big blinds. A Penny saved is a penny earnt!

Feeling really, really tired tonight so gonna give any more poker a miss and put some volume in tomorrow. Got a sweat with Holmeboy again and going over some theory which im really looking forward to! Onwards and upwards.

Run good guys!

Heyo

This week gets better and better as the days go by, it's a shame it has to come to an end! Running hot as hell is extremely enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone  +5Bi leaves me at just under +10Bi for the week. Not a bad turn around! :)

Results aside though i'm happy with the progress thats being made from when i started 2 weeks ago up untill now but felt absolutely violated after reviewing my stats for the week and realising someone was exploiting me today at the tables :f_cry: .. 68% overall F23B and 75% on the BU?!?! What a fish, i'm auto-profit!!

Don't think my overall stats for the week look too bad(Upswong!) so just need to do some theory work on what range i should be defending with.

Started the sweat session with Holmeboy but had to look after my 9 month old nephew and he was insistent on trying to break anything he could get his hands on so had to cut it short unfortunately. Hopefully get it sorted for tomorrow :)

Got hands to review but feeling tired now and got tomorrow off work so lots of fun first thing tomorrow morning haha.

Run Good

Yo

seems like my run goods carried on through to this week :f_biggrin: .. Not sure how happy i am bout my overall play, making stupid spazzy river calls even when i say to myself "No one bluffs the river enough" means i could've been up a whole lot more but the run good is just carrying me for now lol. (Not that i'm results orientated or anything!)

Ended the day just under 4.5Bi up unlike the graph shows as i played a little NL50 following a donating fish, but ended up running into someones aces x)

Although i've played NL50 before and well rolled for it seeing that pot shipped off to someone cut very deep and managed to stop my fishing efforts there haha.

Played a deep hand against a fish and the preflop action actually made me sit back and say "What the actual fuck is going on here?!" haha. UTG is a reg and was quite suprised by his small 4b/fold. Maybe he didnt realise the fish had cold called my 3b. Still, was enough to mess with my head at the time!

PKR, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

BB: $35.53 (142.1 bb)
UTG: $25 (100 bb)
MP: $10.20 (40.8 bb)
Hero (CO): $81.84 (327.4 bb)
BTN: $41.43 (165.7 bb)
SB: $25.10 (100.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K K
UTG raises to $0.85, MP folds, Hero raises to $2.55, BTN calls $2.55, 2 folds, UTG raises to $5.90, Hero raises to $10, BTN calls $7.45, UTG folds

Flop: ($26.25) 7 J 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $10.43, BTN raises to $31.43 and is all-in, Hero calls $21

Turn: ($89.11) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($89.11) 4 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

Spoiler

$89.11 pot ($3 rake)
Final Board: 7 J 7 2 4
Hero showed K K and won $86.11 ($44.68 net)
BTN showed A J and lost (-$41.43 net)

Praise be to the poker gods that they held up! haha.

Well, Today Was going pretty well, up just slightly under 4Bi at NL25 and checked my roll and saw i was $1 under a nice round 100 so thought i'd sit at a NL100 HU table and steal a blind, First table someone steals mine and ups and leaves. Second table first hand i tried to have the biggest balls and run A5 into KK :f_biggrin: So instead of being up for the day i'm down haha. funny gear.

On another note bought Matthew Janda's book, Applications of NL Holdem, to digest very very slowly. Hopefully one day the penny will drop and i'll understand all the maths side of poker!

PKR, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $22.71 (90.8 bb)
BB: $21.89 (87.6 bb)
MP: $23.94 (95.8 bb)
Hero (CO): $45.07 (180.3 bb)
BTN: $25.39 (101.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 3 3
MP folds, Hero raises to $0.75, BTN calls $0.75, 2 folds

Flop: ($1.85) 7 A 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, BTN calls $1.25

Turn: ($4.35) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.90, BTN raises to $7.70, Hero calls $4.80

River: ($19.75) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $15.69 and is all-in, Hero folds

This hand was vs a reg and bored me a little today, The only time i man up and fold the river because no one ever bluffs the river he ends up flipping over pocket sixes. Figures!! haha gotta laugh.

Peace

Sup!

Didnt get chance to update yesterday as was playing way past bed time trying to get some lovely gentlemen's hard earned cash which eventually paid off! Haven't played hardly at all today as i'm feeling abit rubbish, started playing a session but my focus wasn't their properly so decided to call it quits and get some kip. Yesterdays Giraffe

Had a short sweat session with Gadget where we looked at a couple of Regs on PKR and found out an interesting tell on one of them which looks like it could save us both alot of money in the long run :f_cool:

Not a standard GTO line with AKo 200bbs deep but every now and again is good to play exploitatively

Final Board: 6 6 3 8 6
Hero showed A K and won $94.13 ($46.44 net)
CO showed 9 A and lost (-$47.69 net)

On another note works getting ridiculously busy now its coming up to christmas and the weathers getting colder so all in all christmas is not a great time of year for a postman!

"We love parcels." :rage: Do we F**K can't stand the bloody things! nothing more frustrating than someone ordering something and not being in  haha.

Goodbye PKR

So my time at PKR has come to an end as i've withdrawn all my roll and will be switching back to Pokerstars to learn how to play Zoom under the watchful and beady eye of the legendary BrokesoBroke!! This is an opportunity i am grateful for no end and will seize this opportunity with both hands and put everything i can into it.

Although the PKR software is a huge pain in the ass i can't say a bad word about the room as it's helped my BR grow massively compared to what i started with and i wouldn't be in this brilliant situation if it wasn't for all the nice fish and weak regulars at PKR, so thank you to those guys! :f_biggrin: Lets just hope the withdrawal is swift, then i would recommend PKR To anyone. :)

Overall NL25 Giraffe:

& Overall NL50 Giraffe before i stopped playing:

Decided to deposit some $ onto stars of my own money and splash around abit on Zoom to get used to the format as i've got no experience at all with it. Was going fairly well, i can't believe the amount of hands you can get in even just 2 tabling, untill i got tired and started getting spewy :f_mad:

All Just teething problems and i'll get my head together and stop spewing in no time. So excited to get things rolling with BsB, can't wait!!

So i'm extremely excited for the coming months challenge and hope i'll have a sick story to tell along the way. Hopefully i really will be stepping into a better life, one hand at a time! :f_cool:

One last thing, This song and video is the absolute nuts! The guys a serious sicko. Maybe one day i'll give it a go if i grow some balls

Run Good Guys! :)

Thanks man appreciate it! :)

Seeing as i went to bed in retard mode it seems only fitting that i woke up in full retard and had a horrible first half of the day :f_mad: ended up dropping 5Bi doing fancy shit and not thinking properly but had a session with Hai and he talked through a few things, nothing major but just give me abit perspective and it took me out of full retard.

Not sure where all this aggressions come from but something seems to have changed drastically from PKR to Stars O.o 6k hands in 2 days is always nice though! :f_biggrin:

Hopefully going to bed in a better mood will mean a better start to the day tomorrow! :)
