BB: $17.47 (69.9 bb)
UTG: $35.71 (142.8 bb)
MP: $25 (100 bb)
CO: $25 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q Q
UTG raises to $0.75, MP folds, CO raises to $2.29, 3 folds, UTG raises to $5.25, CO calls $2.96

Flop: ($10.85) 8 7 9 (2 players)
UTG bets $30.46 and is all-in, CO folds

UTG: 23/18/6,1 117 hand

CO: 15/11/5,3 563 hand. 3bet CO: 4%(25)

Can i fold with QQ here?
I don't really want to coldcall this 3bet, because it's face up too and there will be difficult postflop situations. Cold 4bet/fold can be better with AQo or AKo because that hands have better blockers.

Hey PedroRobertooo,

CO looks pretty tight and he's 3betting vs UTG open. We likely can't profitably cold 4bet QQ and get stacks in.

Folding is a reasonable decision. However since UTG doesn't look overly tight so far (and hopefully won't 4bet), it's also find to cold-call purely with the intention of setming. This means even if we flop and overpair we are folding - we will be looking to hit a set only.

Is it an option to coldcall because of setmining? :O Isn't it too faceup?

Yeah, I guess a little.

Set mining situations are always based on estimates. So if you think your implied odds are damaged because you are face-up then just fold.

Other guys are not going to care what you have and stack off with their KK/AA on all flops. So judge depending on villain.
