Did I have enough outs to call the re-raise?
Again I'm double stacked from winning a big hand and waiting for blinds to come around.

With such stack on NL10 you should be very tight and as soon as the BB comes to you sit out and close the table.
Preflop: FOLD, please try to stick to the SHC and you wouldn't get in such trouble.
Flop: Call the small bet.
Turn: Check/fold.

I agree completely with veriz.

Very important imo when you play SSS: if you don't close the table after you doubled up you're gonna lose a lot of money

Well, I'm afraid openlimping A8s from MP1 isn't really profitable even playing bigstack - apart from us, shorties! Look: the pot is small so you have no real guarantee anybody will stick in the pot if you hit your draw. You cannot really win big pot with it. And if you face any raise which is happening rather often, you have to fold.

So imo it's a first clear mistake here.

On the flop it's ok, turn begs for just call! you have a top pair with no real kicker, you don't want to invest all of your stack on it! Especially two stacks if you recently doubled up ;). So call, wait for improvement and raise the river or call small bet if you don't improve...
