I played this hand against a villain that just joined the table , so this is first hand he played so i had no reads and stats only that he folded the first 10 or 15 hands i think.

So after he raises me i putted him on flush draw or some kinda pp, then when the ace hits i tried to see if i can bluff him out since i can easily represent the ace , and he thinks for a while and calls.

The river is i guess pretty much a blank, so im quite sure he doesnt have A and i dont think he's betting out lower pp's thats why i called. Any comments?

If you wanted to represent the A, I'd have check/raised the turn, if he is thinking player, he knows you wouldn't donk the ace.

On the river it's close, he could be holding something like K9, and maybe he is capable of betting out 77-88 after your check. Of course, he could be on a bluff, so I'd also call it.

Suppose i had ATo here :
then i dont like check/raise here vs. unknown and oop. ,
i like the donk better that way if he's ahead we dont loose to much and we prevent a free card . Another reason is that it could be a scare card for him so he might check some hands he would call with.

Ok, I agree, if he had a draw, it would be a big mistake trying to check/raise turn. But being HU, draws are less likely IMO.

But in the KQs hand, would he be capable of calling turn with K-high or Q-high, after you c-bet flop, donk turn?

I'll better wait for someone more experienced to evaluate this hand. :)

Well probably not but if he has a pp he could see my line as a bluff , on the other hand i represent a lot of strenght with check/raise on turn so he might fold alot of worse hands and i gain only 1bb but thats just my thinking we'll see what judges say :)

Hi gape0000 and welcome to our FL section.

I like you thoughts a lot but you forgot a small thing: If he has a draw he will call anyway so. He won't fold a better hand eiher so just stay passive on the turn and continue check/calling to give him another chance to bluff at you on this scare card.
River is another check/call as me might check behind some better hands but may bluff again with busted draws.

The turndonk with an ace is very good as you don't want him to take a freecard. Sure it has to be balanced with weak hands as well but you should do this with draws with no showdownvalue where you bet the river again if you think that he might fold a better hand.
Here you might get raised by an aggressive opponent with just a draw but you can't calldown anymore as this would become to expensive against an unknown.

Keep ading your thought to the hands so that I'm able to give you a better answer as I know what exactly you want to know.

I really like it that you discuss with us Amirapuato. :)

I was thinking if i should bet the river as a bluff but i was sure he was chasing flush . I guess inducing bluffs is really better line didnt really realised that he could raise the draw at that moment.

Well he showed 5 :club: 7 :club: and he went on massive tilt later so he gave me about 20$ felt kinda bad for him ;)
