Today I played a session of about 2 hours. I was about break even, when I started getting some really nice cards. Take a look at these:

Known players:
[tg]SB$2.36:///////;BB$1.90:///////;UTG$10.65:///////;UTG+1$2.14:///////;UTG+2$5.82:///////;MP1$8.01:///////;MP2$12.02:///////;Hero$1.96:///////;CO$10.37:///////;BU$2.09:///////;[/tg]

Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.57 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K♣, K♦
3 folds, MP1 raises to $0.20, MP2 folds, Hero raises to $0.60, 4 folds, MP1 calls $0.40.

Flop: ($1.35) 9♦, 9♠, 6♣ (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero raises $1.36 (All-In), MP1 calls $1.36.

Turn: ($4.07) 9♥
River: ($4.07) Q♦

Final Pot: $4.07

Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a full-house, nines full of kings (Kc Kd)
MP1 shows a full-house, nines full of sevens (7s 7d)

Hero wins with a full-house, nines full of kings (Kc Kd)

So i make myself ready to leave the table, as I'm up way more than 5 BB. But before I get away, this happens:

Known players:
[tg]SB$1.80:///////;BB$10.65:///////;UTG$2.14:///////;UTG+1$5.82:///////;UTG+2$6.05:///////;MP1$12.02:///////;Hero$3.87:///////;MP3$10.37:///////;CO$2.09:///////;BU$2.31:///////;[/tg]

Flop: ($1.25) 2♠, 9♥, 8♠ (2 players)

Wonderful. I'm almost back to break even, and sticking to the SHC is really starting to pay off. :)

Nice one!

On the 2nd hand, you could push it immediately as you don't want to give him another card on the turn without paying the full price. (Flushdraw/Straightdraw)

Keep it up!

I played a rather short session today: 50 minutes.
I did a new thing today. I opened up notepad as I played, to note down times of specific hands, that I will be posting later in the hand evaluation forum. I also wrote down some other things. Here's what I wrote down:

Session start: 08:10 PM
Tables: 4
Limit: NL10
Hands played: 221
Profit/Loss: +$1.98 (19.80BB)
BB/100: 8.96
Important hand times (for evaluation): 08.10 (AK) 8.43 (JJ) ~8.50 (67)
Session ended: 09:00 PM

I think these stats are OK :)

The worst ( and first) hand of the day:

Known players:
[tg]SB$1.75:///////;Hero$2.00:///////;UTG$0.00:///////;MP1$10.00:///////;MP2$5.61:///////;MP3$11.45:///////;CO$13.51:///////;BU$15.46:///////;[/tg]
0.05/0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (7 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.57 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A♣, K♠
MP1 raises to $0.30, 5 folds, Hero raises to $0.90, MP1 raises to $2.10, Hero raises to $2.00 (All-In).

Flop: ($4.15) T♣, J♠, T♥
Turn: ($4.15) Q♦
River: ($4.15) 8♠

Final Pot: $4.15

Results follow:
Hero shows a straight, ace high (Ac Ks)
MP1 shows a full-house, jacks full of tens (Jd Jc)

MP1 wins with a full-house, jacks full of tens (Jd Jc)

That's it for today. Thanks for reading. Feel free to comment.. :)

I haven't been around much lately, cause I've been moving in with my girlfriend, andout internet isn't gonna be working until 2nd september. But today I'm at my parents place, so I have a little time fr playing. Their computer only has Full Tilt, where I'm not tracked, but I have still won about $25 today.

How I use my Full Tilt Account
My Full Tilt account, is not an account for SSS (or other strategies for that matter). It is where I try different things. I sometimes play at levels, that my BR doesn't allow. But mostly I play tounaments, to improve my tournament skills. I have already cashed out more than I deposited, so I'm playing for "free money". So I think it's okay to "test-play" here.. :)

Cheers,

FullTilt's Blinds structure is among the very best so its a good practice if you want to participate in the EPT and stuff!

Looking forward to hear from you very soon

Finally I got internet in my new appartment...

As I haven't had internet connection for quite some time, I have had time to review my game. So this I have done. I opened PS Elephant and I started analysing. And I came to the conclusion that I have pretty much played my A-game (on strong hands at least).

Here are some stats on the hands, that should more or less be played everytime they occure. Right now they will be reffered to as Starting Monsters. Here goes.

Hand: times on hand
won ($) / lost ($) - NET $

AA: 5 times
Won 5 ($1.42) / Lost 0 ($0) - NET: $1.42

KK: 10 times
won 9 ($11.46) / Lost 1 ($7.54) - NET: $3.92

AKs: 1 time
Won 1 ($0.01) / Lost 0 ($0) - NET: $0.01

QQ: 10 times
Won 8 ($5.56) / Lost 2 ($2.80) - NET: $2.76

AKo: 20 times
Won 17 ($3.83) / Lost 3 ($3.05) - NET: $0.78

JJ: 6 times
Won 6 ($2.67) / Lost 0 ($0) - NET: $2.67

So all in all that Starting Monsters has given me NET $11.56 (my own posted blind are incounted)

Next up are the Close To Monsters:

Hand: times on hand
NET $

AQs: 3 times
NET: $0.25

TT: 7 times
NET: $1.28

AQo: 18 times
NET: $3.37

99: 5 times
NET: $-1.88

So to sum up the Close To Monsters they have given me NET: $3.02

That's all profit. So besides that unlucky KK where are my losses. I looked deeper into my stats, and here's what I found.

From A2s-AJs: 34 times
Played hands (including blinds): 14
NET: $-1.22

Basically lost on one ATs and one AJs.

From A2o-AJo: 113 times
Played hands (including blinds): 40
NET: $-7.02

This is mostly because of a few hands, where I think I was doing well - but obviously wasn't.

From 22-88: 46 times
Played hands (including blinds): 23 (50%)
NET: $-3.53

This loss is caused by bad play.

So to make some sort of conclusion. I play my Starting Monsters and Close To Monsters pretty well. It's clear for everyone, that I should play less A-low - both suited and offsuited. I should also be more careful with my small pairs, and only play them if I can check in BB. And then fold them if I'm not clearly ahead with a set or something like that.

Now for a few hands, just to illustrate the above losses:

Another update from me.

I have started my education AP Programme in Computer Science, and therefore there will be periods from time to time when I won't be able to play poker. But whenever I play I'll post a small update here.

Right now I'll play a small session on Party. I'll be back.

Hi there!

Do you play BSS or SSS on NL4? Did you switched from SSS to BSS?

Best regards,
Gerv

I play SSS on party. I played NL4 just to get a feeling of the Party software. I only play NL10 now.

Ok good! I was worrying you were playing SSS on NL4.

Keep me updated

I played, as i mentioned earlier, a really short session on Party (if you can even call 81 hands a session:P) Anyway I was break even. When I came home I played some S'n'G's on Tilt and ended up being up $10 on 4 SnG's. Not bad for me.

Also I have started doing BRM on Tilt, so I only buy into tournaments, that I can afford.

I have decided to stop playing on Mansion, since their software is really starting to bother me. I'm tracked there, so it's a bit of a shame, but I made my decision. I might start on another site with the money I have there, but I'm not sure about that yet.

The date is september 12th 2008
Today is the day that I shoot my SSS carrer dead. BANG.. :)

I'm starting to get bored with the SSS and my enjoyment of playing poker has really decreased. Because of that I have only played on Tilt for past days, which is also the reason I'm still bronze and haven't got back to silver yet. So to make it short: My SSS blog is dead, done, finito, am ende.

I'll start a new blog where I play only SnG. And I'll do that on Party too as I'm tracked there.

Thanks to everyone who followed this blog. I hope you will follow my new, better, and at all times more updated SnG blog, when I start later tonight.
