I decided to raise and call if he shoved but am I just best shoving myself, or does that make it obvious Im on a draw?

SB: 6,142 (20.5 bb)
Hero (BB): 7,358 (24.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7 K
SB raises to 600, Hero calls 300

Flop: (1,250) 9 T 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 900, Hero raises to 2,540, SB raises to 5,517 and is all-in, Hero calls 2,977

Turn: (12,284) A (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: (12,284) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

Final Board: 9 T 8 A 2
SB showed Q Q and won 12,284 (6,142 net)
Hero showed 7 K and lost (-6,142 net)

Hi all,

Preflop's good.

Check/call is best here as our draw is very weak on this two-tone board. I would treat this hand sort of like we had just a gutshot and an overcard, rather than an open ender just because of our discounted outs.

Deepstacked we can check/raise fold this hand. With these stacksizes, check/calling is better (though check/folding is reasonable also).

BTW leading for 600-800 ourselves on the flop is also very good, though we should fold to a raise.
