I think I should fold river - he may or may not bet AQ, AJ, but I think he has more hands that beat me in his 3barrel range. What about turn - here I think he bets his draws, AT+ more often than river.

I don't see any reason to just call preflop. If his isolation range is sub 14% I would agree with it. But he is isolating a limper on the button, even tight players go 25-30% here. Loose players go 70% there.

You absolutely have to 3bet pre. Picking up 5bb right there is not a bad result by the way.

Flop makes sense to donk in general when the fish is in the middle. But on Ahi I still prefer a check like you did. So flop is good.

Turn is good.

River is simple actually. BT never bets a bluff on the turn vs two players, one of which is a fish.

So when BT bets river, he is also not bluffing, (unless he is very strong player who recognizes this and starts bluffing with AJ, checks back A7, and value bets at A8 (approx.))

What is his value range on the river? Does AK have 25% against it? I don't think so, as like you said, he should check behind AQ.

Hero's perceived range is capped at AQ-AJ so I think BTN is betting AQ.
Villain's sizing is likely capped at A8 as well.

Maybe going allin and making him fold AK and below has higher ev than calling. Ppl might not bet call AK there even getting 7:1.
from 60% folds onwards we have raise > call > fold.
