Sat down at 1/2 cash 160 behind villain has around 200.
Middle position facing three limps in front of me, i pump it up to 12 looking at
AQ of diamonds.
Folds round to BB who decides to flat call, two of the original limpers folds and one also flat calls.
Board comes down 2 2 3 with two diamonds, checked to me I continue for 24, BB folds villain check raises to 64....
What do you do?
I didnt, I was kinda taken a back to start with tbh.
I flatted ( possibly the wrong move on my behalf) my thought process behind it was that he could already have filled up or if not he's sitting there with a 2 and i could have dirty outs, with the limp/call pre I didnt have him on an over pair.
I thought id peel and see what he done on the turn. Turn comes 10
and he ships it?
I'm think calling and shoving are both fine but i prefer shoving, he might think twice about calling a hand like TT and even if he does it's a flip plus he has some worse flush draws in his range since live fish like limping suited Kx, Qx
Interesting.
I would put him on a range of KK+, 33-22, 32s, KdJd, KdTd, JdTd, Td9d, 9d8d, 8d7d, 7d6d, 6d5d, 5d4d, 4d3d and against that u have 44% or 1:1.27. So ur definitly getting odds to call 126 to win 315. Shove over him so he thinks hes getting odds to call with all hes flushdraws. so he dosnt check fold on the turn when he miss and only continues with hes better hands. I forgot to cound in A2s but dosnt make a much bigger difference in the odds ur getting. Also if hes a fish, probaly has alot more flushdraws in hes range then what i counted in.
Im not a expert in this area, but just my 2cent.
GLGLGL
on reflection i should have just shoved the flop but like i say i was slightly taken a back by the check raise and had to start putting him on a range of hands.
As it turns out I folded the turn, possibly not the right move as Im getting a great price.
After folding I show him my hand, he willingly turns over..... wait for it!! 7 2 ![]()
absolutely disgusting! lol
i was counting wrong in my last post, sry for that.
but against that hand u had only 25% = 1:3 so u made a good call and good fold. WP
