hans sick results man really even though 50 was shaky you still came out ahead a bunch. Biggest difference between 20 and 50? Sorry to be the question asker but not much info shared about the speed games 10-50nl. Appreciate it. Also I know u are following the book, when you have the lead and have oesd or fd and brick how often do u shove river? never? villain dependent? Book says check fold. unless 4 straight or 4 flush.
Great thread, really inspirational for me as I have just started my online poker career! Look like it takes a lot of hard work but I hope I can follow your success!
Hi guys,
@kerwinty
I guess for 100BB you can C or Shove but without a read never F. That's why I always take care of making as much as possible notes especially about 4B and 4B pots. Also remember that this is not what makes your WR. It's strong hand against strong hand and you just pick the side.
About the difference I would firstly say that people at NL50 hand read way better. Their 3B are not that random and in general their aggression is much more controlled(they pick their spots better). But there is not a huge difference.
I think I didn't run that many 3 barrel bluffs. I think it was just a few once were the board runout was so extremely good for a 3 barrel bluff. Like I have T8s and it runs 579QA(completed FD). But I never did it without a reasonable sample size.

TX mate! GL with your poker career.
So for those of you who like stats and facts here are my NL10 results:
I also prepared 2 videos this time:

Hey guys,
@Shuttled
TX mate!
Things were kinda doing good until until this weekend. Had to take yesterday my free day due some IRL unexpected problems and today I was planning a 12h grind. And guess what as last time I hit stop loss. This time I fought big time. I was close to stop loss after 40min and managed to get back again in the green zone but then again variance went ahead and drag me down. I mean I feel I was a little too Cally in some spots so can't really say that I played my A game but it wasn't like last time me D game. I would rate myself today 3-3.5/5.
Anyway here are the results for the last 3 playing days:
So that's it for today. I hope tomorrow Gordon and I might more objectively rate my today's performance. Hope for some good run tomorrow! ♦
First of all, Very well done!
Its such an insperation to see someone go from $50 to $2000 in less than 40 days !
If i can manage a 1/4 of that i'd be so happy.
Keep on crushing ♦

TX mate! Of course you can do it as well :).
But yeah looks like it's gonna be a bit below 2k$ ![]()
So direction changed in the challenge. Now becoming mass grinder. I mean I was spending a lot of time while 3 sometimes 4 tabling and taking every possible note. So the volume was lacking a bit and it looks like given fish/reg ratio on Speed that volume due to the deal might be the way to go to reach this then 10k$. So currently trying to get 6-7k hands per day which seems fairly reasonable. Also if I could held a 2bb/100 WR it would be awesome. ![]()

That's it from me. Take care guys and GL at the tables!
Hey guys,
Things being swingy lately as you can see below in the graph. I also increased the amount of volume and managed today for example to mostly play 8 tables of Speed. I had my fair share of problems handling it and I was lost in some situations but in general I was doing OK. So here are the facts for this 3 days:
I also made a calculation of my hourly but it's sort of simplified(number of hands/hour, bonuses, races, etc.) but it still gives me a picture that my decision of actually going for volume might have been the better idea in terms of hourly

Anyway this it from me guys. Next update will be next Sunday since I leave for holidays and will be back on Friday to start grinding again. I'm already 94k hands for this month so I still have to pass over the 100k hands mark but with +20k hands/3 days I think it shouldn't be a problem. ♦
GL and happy holidays!
Hallo everyone,
Already enjoying festivities? Guess the online felts are full of recreational players and I was really looking forward to grind today 12k hands and maybe already reach this month 100k hands on NL50 to get a better picture but guess what variance played with me in which of course I lost.
Yesterday I was able to somewhat take the better end and still managed to book tiny profit although variance was doing fairly good in terms of not letting me win(9BI below EV). Anyway went optimistic into this session and it started good until things turned around and I ended up pretty fast into stop loss. Checked the hands already there is no spew, here and there were probably better lines I could have taken but in the big picture I simply couldn't win AI and run into a couple of coolers.
Yesterday I had problems 8 tabling so I went back to 7 tables mostly and when I got tired ended up playing 6 but today there were no problems in 8 tabling. Anyway this are the results:
Luckily I got some random 250$ bonus(I call it this way because I don't know why I got it) so the cashier didn't hit a bigger punch:
Anyway due RL issues and events I don't know if I will be playing on the 2 next remaining days. If I won't I will at least try to post a monthly update and maybe some year summary.
Anyway take care guys and GL at the tables!
So fellow poker players,
Already bought the assets needed for the tonight? Or some of you already celebrating?
♠_cool:
Well, as most of you already noticed in the forums it's summary time. But before I hit this years ups and downs I guess I should probably fire some graphs, facts etc to rep up this month in the challenge ♦. Anyway here is what I came up with:
Overall Month:

NL50:
Overall Challenge:
Thoughts About Results And Future Plans In The Challenge:
So what can I say, I'm not pleased with this month results. I'm not a crusher on this stakes but still kinda expected a bit better results. I mean I still was hoping to maintain the 2bb/100 WR since I knew what my hourly looks a like and since I increased the amount of hands/hour to 1200 I was really happy to see some more positive results/bigger hourly.
I also created a very good default game so handling 8 tables isn't really that hard for me and I also don't see a big decrease in the quality of my game. If someone would ask in the middle of the night what to do with hand XY vs position Z OR I guess I would snap reply(if I understood the question being sleepy :P). Also my grinding skills developed again to a new level so now a I can grind 3h without a break without losing the quality of the game.
So what to say about January and future plans for the challenge? Hmm...after I will get RB I will have to talk to Gordon and get his approval to start a NL100 shot. Most likely 5BI or something. I don't know if it's going to be already on Thursday but as soon as we get into contact. Also I didn't top last months volume so in January I wanna see 150k hands. Since next month is not much going on in terms of festivities I think this should be my minimum and also in case I don't make it I will find a decent penalty for myself. Anyway that's it for the challenge so now let's take a look at the year:
Year 2013 in one word? Awesome ♠_cool:!
Well, sadly I don't have any graphs to show since when I started this challenge I deleted my old database so most of my results won't be shown here. But I will list some plans for 2014 :
Plans 2014:
- Finish the deal with Gordon
- Move abroad once the deal is finished
- Learn a 5th language
- Learn to dance
- Try a new sport
So guys I wish a happy New Year to all of you and my wishes for 2014 is that the USA online market reopens and that I stay healthy.
Hi bro!
I'm from the spanish comunity, I follow you challenge!
What book it's wath you mention in the coaching videos??
TY! And GL!
NOTE: Sorry, my english suck's
Hi guys,
@Mijael166
Ola amigo!Here is the book.
@ilioas
Sorry for the delay was on vacation for a couple of days. No I didn't but I will soon :).
So how did everyone get into 2014? For me the first grinding days weren't the best since iPoker introduced € Speed tables. But yeah, I can mostly be happy how I play. I mean my mass multitabling game improved although for the first day when I started playing I switched to just 6 tables to warm myself up. Yesterday I was back to 8 tables but variance made a cut after an hour already when I reached stop loss. It screw a bit my plans for this week since I planned on playing 60h, but yeah not much to do. Anyway here are the results for the last 2 days:
I'm currently after 90k hands BE(WR 0,5bb/100) but I run 33BI below EV and the interesting part is that my EV WR is actually rising(3.8bb/100) since I made some smaller adjustments. Ironically my WR shrinks ♦. The good part about is that my mindset isn't influenced at all and I deal with this things way easily then I did. Shit happens not much I can do about and so let's try to play my best.
I got RB and the cashier was yesterday even bigger before the deadly 60min started. Anyway I will most likely with Gordon start playing NL100 on Friday so hopefully with weekend recreational players my shot at NL100 hopefully will work.
Anyway that's it for today. GL!
So people,
Time for another short update :). Anyway yesterday hit stop loss but recovered today in a 11k session. Anyway here are the results:
I also passed the 100k mark on NL50 so the graph looks like this now:
If I play 10k hands a day and given that iPoker introduced € Speed tables I could finish this challenge on NL50. Will I? Don't know since have to talk to Gordon and for now it seems like the NL100 shot has be delayed. Or maybe tomorrow?
♦
Good night!
I must say your work ethic and dedication it's an inspiration, I have a few questions:
1.How you deal with tilt during this long sessions?
2.Do you look in Hem while playing? To see how much you won/lost?
3.What differences have you spotted between nl10/20/50?
GL!!!
@b0gd4n3l
TX, mate!Always nice to hear such compliments. About your question:
1) Well, I don't tilt that much anymore nowadays(poker wise - life wise read below). I understand how variance works and how are my results are influenced by it. I mean I still say from time to time to myself some random stupid word or jump from the chair etc. in general show emotion but it's not like I will ever make something stupid because of couple of bad beats,cooler or some other part of the game.
There are actually 3 reasons why I sort of mostly mastered poker tilt:
1.Tilt Free Today
A great course and IMO the best that Gordon has. For me it had the biggest impact and on top of that only for a couple of BI. I tried the most common things like TMGoP but this brought me the ''aha'' moments.
2. Willingness to succeed/Not End a +EV deal
It's quite simple, if I tilt the deal is soon off and I lost a very big chance to succeed at this game.
3.Volume
When you are playing bigger volume you get to know variance better because you see daily so many up/dows more coolers, nuts, bad beats per hour that you kinda get used to it.
2) Yes, I do. The simple reason is because I have a stop loss of 5BI per day(now since € tables are introduced it's 350$).
3)Well, the first things is preflop aggression. About postflop, they hand read better, understand board textures and the according lines. In general people understand more what they are doing and why they are doing something.
Hope that helped and GL to you as well! ![]()
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi everyone,
There is one thing that currently tilts and that is a situation where my business plans can be achieved because of variance. I planned on putting another 10k hands today and then finish this week with 50k hands and enjoy tomorrow my free day. Everything seemed so perfect, wake up, breakfast etc. went for a walk on a beautiful day(15-16°C,sitting at the beach and taking a bad in the sun). Came home with such a positive attitude that I wil crush today and instead I got crushed after exactly 42min. Sunday I'm stop losing after 42min
:(???????WTF??? I even now can't believe it. This is actually what tilts me the most. Every time I have some plans regarding volume something has to go wrong.
About the game, well didn't play that bad, made some mistakes due to mass tabling but the problem was that in 768 hands I only won 1 60BB pot and 1 50BB pot. Will see what Gordon will say.
Anyway that's it from me for today. Off to do some Equity Calculations and to all off playing the Sunday lotteries GL! ![]()

WEEKLY
@toby130672
TX, mate! Honestly don't know what happened with him. I can't seem to find it anymore.
So everyone,
Basically Monday was my free day so technically I only played 2 days. So besides the standard graph and all other statistical facts regarding actually the current results there is actually one news. So Gordon and I decided that we are going to finish this challenge this month(the whole amount will be available on the begging of the next month) and that on NL50. I will most likely start playing anyway NL100 in the begging of February and I also like the fact that since today I'm sort of able to handle 10 Speed tables which were some key factors while coming to this decision.
So for now after my own calculation if I would end BE for the rest of the month I need another 130k hands(approx 100h of 10 tabling Speed) in order to finish this challenge If I manage to book some profits I will think about and reevalute my plan. Anyway these are the results for the last 2 days:
That's it. Will be back in 2 days :).GL!
Hi guys,
Looks like this will be another short update. Basically I hit on both days stop loss. The funny things was that on the day of the update I had my first sort of smaller upswing and I though I might finally make a comeback in terms of EV but guess what variance said NO and decided that I will run 19BI below in 2 days making it overall over 50BI below EV after 150k hands. Not too worried or angry about but I might if it starts to mess up big time with plans(5k hands behind my planned pace) about finishing this challenge this month. Hmm...didn't I already learn the lesson of not making plans in poker ♦ ![]()

Since I past the 150k hands mark here is what I came up with:
And I got a smaller amount of money from a rake race:
That's it for today. Looking optimistically forward to the weekend and turning this current bad situation into a good one.
