Hero (BTN/SB): t500 25 BBs
BB: t500 25 BBs

Pre Flop: (t30) Hero is BTN/SB with 8 :diamond: 2 :club:
Hero raises to t40, BB calls t20

Flop: (t80) 2 :diamond: J :diamond: A  (2 players)
BB bets t40, Hero calls t40

Turn: (t160) 4 :spade: (2 players)
BB bets t420 all in, Hero calls t420 all in

River: (t1000) 3  (2 players - 2 are all in)

Villain is an unknown, 3bet shipped 50%(3/6 hands), limps 50%, raises 17.

I guess opening 82o is questionable if we think he's that aggro with his re-steals, but sample hands number is too low.

Still, I would expect him to re-steal every Ax pre, I would never expect him to donk-overbet jam Jx, so that leaves him with weird 2 pairs, J2, J4, 24, draws and bluffs. Given all that, is the turn call spewy? What's your stack off range on the turn?

Hi all,

I hate this turn card. So many of his gutshots now suddenly crush your hand. I think it's reasonable to call all the other turn cards (6-K but not J), if indeed this turn card is a fold. I'm happy making some big decisions like this vs these weird lines.

Fold preflop BTW.

Hi, Chenny!

What are these many gutshots that crush my hand on the 4 turn? I see just 53, 54, 34(unlikely) and that's that. Yet- I don't think if fish hits 4x on the turn, he will overbet jam it.

Why not stack off on J turn? Then it makes the Jx more unlikely and on top-if he hit trips, he's not overbet jamming turn.

This is a fold pre at these stacksizes vs almost everyone, and def not vs someone who's already 3bet half your opens.

It's also not inconceivable that villain does flat some Ax here (way too small a sample to determine that he's not), and it's really hard for villain to show up with a lot of air here. Jx isn't inconceivable either. We need a really specific strong read to call off here vs anyone - the majority of the time we're just punting stacks by calling turn.
