Hero bets 6 BB, UTG+1 raises to 16 BB, Hero calls 10 BB

Turn: (40.5 BB, 2 players) 8♣

Hero?

Think hero should check/fold here or actually should have folded on the flop. UTG re-raise indicates hand stronger than top pair.

UTG+1 range on flop: AT+, A8s, 88, TT. This range is maybe too tight and gives me very poor equity <20%

Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I think hero should fold pre, A7o is not strong enough to defend vs UTG 4x pre.

As played definitely check/calling the flop rather than leading out, and when he raises its definitely a fold since on such a dry flop he never raises anything that you beat.

How is it that you estimate his range at UTG+1= AT+, A8s, 88, TT?
- A reg should have something like AQ, AK but definitly not AT.
- Most of the times he has a strong ace (like AK), but 88 or TT is ofcourse plausible.
- Or do you have the reason to believe that he's opening with AT from UTG+1? Eitherway, your way behind to call such raises.

Agree I should have folded pre-flop. AT+ range was due to loose playing style of this player during the session.

This ♠_thumbsup: We shouldn't call our offsuit aces here pre-flop versus strong UTG range as we are most likely crushed.
