Thanks HrabriLavek!

I indeed need to have a lots of fun while playing poker
and that's why I motivate myself with those tips.
Especially, when I play this many of hands.

I feel good about my less-tilting game this month.
I still fuck up in a lots of spots, though.
Anyway, there is a graph below, which hopefully is
a sign of tilting less.

Spoiler

This weekend I played only NL25 SH and my table count was mostly 4-5 tables.
In my grinding regime earlier, I used to play either 4 ZOOM tables or
6 normal tables.
But since I'm bad and need to improve my play, I decided to
leave a room on my desktop for some hand ranges. I usually don't
play those perfectly anyway, but I still need to remind myself of domination
problems and hands, that by theory can't flop even good backdoor
options, etc.

Also, I plan to play only 4-5 tables for some time, since there is something
new every day I learn and need to adjust in my game.
Therefore, I can leave some clean spot on my desktop to
take a look into my reminder notes, ranges, etc.
Sometimes I also use a simple pen and paper to write down
some interesting concepts or lines ... then afterwards I can
test those in HEM database. Look at Success %, frequencies, etc.

Had a shot at NL50 today, but failed.
My mindset was ... somwhere else.

So, back at NL25 and I'm pretty
confident that I can get back @NL50
in no time.

However, I might get a bigger
experience @NL25 and have a bit
more fun with tilting people. ;)

I've played only about 8k hands @nl25 and
I'm curious, if I can beat it as hard
for about 30-50k hands. It's all a small
sample, I know, but it gets my mindset
way better in a longterm.

Wouldn't it be a great thing to be able
to say "I'm crushing NL25, it is so
soft

I just love those starts of the session, where
I tend to be very loose.

Spoiler

And that HEM calling me a fish, which I really am ... he-he.
Laughing about this every time, so fun. :f_p:

Tilt.
I tend to deal with tilt very well. :f_cool:
I just play and everything else doesn't matter.
Well, maybe beer matters a little bit. :f_love:

That's kind of tilting, when drinking beer, but it's only a
cup for all of the evening, so it's all cool.
Sipping it a bit just for the taste.

Poker.
Yes, there is a lots of it and will be also tomorrow,
so let's talk about it some other day.

Btw, I think, I'll be crushing NL25 very hard. I have a really good feeling about this. ;)

More bear.
This is one of my most favorites. What is yours?

New beginning at Full Tilt. This graph is totally sick.
Not only I feel, that I'm running good, but also
my medium hands are getting played way differently
and I use more stuff to bluff catch.
In other words I use a concept of keeping my opponent's range
very wide and letting them make the biggest mistake possible.

Spoiler

So, yeah, I decided to split my BR in two parts. One's at PokerStars, but
another at FullTilt. Why? I just wanted some change. I want something
fresh and this keeps me more concentrated.

Not sure about my BRM now. Decided to look at it like these two are
separate and I'll have to play a little of NL10 on each site first and soon
I'll start NL25 again. That would be - start playing NL25 in a weak or so.

Overall, I had about $ 1000 three times and every time I busted at NL50,
but that's alright.
I'll get there soon again, but this time my BR for NL50 will have to be
about 30 BI = $1500, since I'm tilting from losing those 2 stacks,
which is 10% of my total BR.
I worry more about my head, my mindset, than BR and I feel that
I can't fool myself. I'll need to play it safe.

While your thinking process seems to be ok, i believe u call down too light.
(Just a guess, from seeing your showdown winnings)
Perhaps u can post some stats?

Thank you again! It helps a lot to hear
other player's opinions and I actually think it's a very good plan.

I decided to get better at NL10 first. Now NL10 is my main stake.
The idea is to get a better game plan and learn it first and
only then go to NL25.

My gameplan is getting sooo strong. ;)

Hey Anger,
perhaps u should stick to a more conservative BRM.
(Like 50 stacks for the next limit.)

U play on Fulltilt only ?
I dont get the players on FT, they do play different compared to PS.
Making solid progress on NL10 ?

U playing acc. to Charts ?
Perhaps u made your own charts?

Hey DoubleBogey,
Here is my overall progress at NL10 this year:

But my NL25 and higher, this year:

I play on both PS and FullTilt.
I wish there were more players on FT. I really like the FT soft.

Charts? Yes, I use some. Mostly, I need them to remind me,
what hands are never a profit and what are, etc.
How to play them...

F.e., I allways pay attention, which hands are + EV to open
by default for me and then I go from there.

In the picture - UTG, VPIP=true, NL10.

Yes, ofc, I use only my own charts, since I have to pay for my mistakes.
F.e. I don't flat AQo vs EP/MP. Maybe it's a mistake, but for now
I'm bad at it and until I don't learn better I just fold. Later I might add it
to my flatting range. ;) ... or not.

Difference between PS and FT

In my eyes there is a little difference between the sites, although I’m not 100% sure and I’d have to play about 50k hands on each site as I don’t want to be small sample size oriented.
One huge aspect that changes drammatically is that FT has a smaller player pool, therefore I can easilly get stats on everyone faster.

F.e. someone 3bets 40%. Then I 4bet AQ, 88+ (at the very least) and stack off more often than 4bet bluff. If I notice a lot’s of folds, then my 4bet bluff range is 100%.

F.e. shortstack/midstack (up to 40 bbs) 3bet JAMs vs me, I’d stack off with 88+, AQ+, AJs, mybe even 66-77, if he’s very fishy (by stats) or he has 20-30 bb’s there. That actually might be true on both sites.

On both sites people call 3bets light and play postflop very weak. Axx, Kxx, Qxx – often gets a lots of folds. I don’t cbet low boards by default and give up w/ air ... or delay cbet OTT.

All the players, by default, are non-believers. So, I don’t want to even semibluff unless it’a strong draw – flush draw, straight draw, GS+overs. Or made hand.

F.e. Gutshot + no overcards, backdoor draws I’d rather play as x/f and hope for an opponent to give me a free card. If I hit, then I have a delayed cbet, which ussually has a great FEQ.

With not cbetting too much I achieve 2 great things:
1. My cbetting range overall gets stronger and it’s a mistake to float me OTT with ATC after my F cbet;
2. My red line (non-SHD) is not going down so much sine I’m not betting Flop and then giving up (biggest leak ever, IMO). It’s better to lose the minimum 3 bb (opening) rather than 9 bb, where I cbet F and give up. (Sometimes it’s still OK to cbet on Axx, Kxx, etc. And give up on T)

Cbet IP a lot more than OOP. Rule of a thumb. ;)

I open a lot more hands than everyone would suggest to a beginner.
I play them to see, what works and what doesn't.

Then I accordingly add more hands or fold more preflop, f.e.

I think it's a mistake for a beginner play super tight, but rather play a bit looser
and then learn from yourself a lot.

NB! Large sample size is needed.

The same on 3betting. I 3bet BU vs CO about 15-25% and I think
it's OK, but I have to assume someone will try to play back later.

The best thing for players would be to 4bet, but they just call too much and fold post-flop. There is no way they can win this way. I'm IP. ;)

My main game plan is to do a lot more opening, 3betting, 4betting and
then learn from my own mistakes and, more importantly - my good plays.
Then I can know for sure, what wins and what loses me money. ;)

Hey blog!

What can I say to you?

I've been playing well. And mostly it is NL10, since it's my anti-tilting limit.
After a huge sample of hands I might play NL25 again. It's more about
getting comfortable with my game. I had to rethink my strategy and now,
when I started to do something slightly different, I want to be sure that it's working.

I started to play 90-man SnG's as well. There are multple reasons for that:
1. I'm getting more interested in NL Holdem. Aka - I'm not getting bored.;
2. I have a lots of FTP on FullTilt and I guess it's very much +EV to buy
$3.30 Tickets for tourneys.;
3. I'm learning some basic stuff about MTT's;
4. It's fun to use some hand reading skills from playing cash.

90-man SnG's

I found some good success, but I have a very small sample size.
Since I'm very new to the game I use learning material from here:
http://www.pokerstrategy.com/strategy/sng/2232/1/

This is a very tight range and I found it working very well at
these micro stakes. People don't like to fold, so it's not a bad strategy
to save BB's and then play big pots, when we have a monster.
Exception ofc is, when I can play from LP.

I started this blog with a wrong mindset and don't feel like
wanting to write in here. Too much graphs and posts about $,
too less goals and pokers hands.

I'll start a new blog with a more professional attitude and post a link here.
I also suggest to read more blogs like this - How to make 10k a month
I'll not run away from this, but want to be more organized and
keep it fresh.

Good thing that I can see my logic mistakes and leaks also in
older blogs.
