But in general i must say NL10 doesn't seem to be very similar to NL5.

Just noticed that i didn't mean this. I wanted to say, that it doesn't seem to be very different to NL5. However, i have to step back to NL5, cause i'm 5buy-in's down and want to stick to BRM. It just didn't run that good. Made a few bad calls, had a few suck outs and splitted pots, which probably made me tilt a little and that's why i have to collect that lost on NL5 again.
It hurts, but i have to deal with it.

I just updated my Elephant to a licensed version, so i am able to play with stats. Might be that you don't need them on the micros, but it is a tool that helps you and why shouldn't i use it.
On NL5 everything is better. I somehow feel safer there and it is probably good that i stay there for a while.
Also i am silver again and can watch some new vid's.

Bye bye

Well, i'll stop playing this week, cause i am on a downswing, play badly and have more important things to do. So, break... (58$ down in summary, that are 11 buy-ins)

Unfortunately i will start again at NL2. This doesn't have to be a bad thing, because it will save me money in my downswing. I just don't have real winning sessions since september and keep loosing and loosing.
I definetly don't want to give only variance the blame, but having a loss of round about 40$ over the month just looking at the pocket pairs under KK is an indicator, that luck is not on my side. All the other months i was winning with them round about 70$.
So, i am going to start again at NL2. Might be that I forgot how to play poker on my vacacions, but actually I don't believe this ;-)
My bankroll is at ~180$. So here is my plan:

BR Limit

~200 -> NL5
~250 -> NL10

That are 10-Buy-In-Steps, which seems to be a good size to me.

Question to you: Is it normal that KQ is more profitable than AQ? My AQ is even a loosing hand looking at my stats over a samplesize of 60.000 hands ...

[x] worst month so far

My advise would be change poker platform. You know it helps me;) When it seems nothing can go more wrong somewhere i just change and it usually helps ;)

I was thinking about your advise, but I'll stay at Titan. Actually I like it there; I got my personal layout for the tables, I can play SH tables at the micros and I am tracked at PS. Having all this isn't possible on another platform, like Party, FullTilt or Stars for me.
Also I am not supersticious and think, that this bad luck period will be over soon. Had a winning session today at NL2. Yeah! I can still beat them ;-)
On Monday I will have my examen and after that I' ll be able to concentrate more on poker again.

I guess I played pretty good today. Had an upswing of round about 20$, so I'll be playing NL5 at least. I hitted really good
So all in all, it was a very good day and I'll find a good sleep.

C u tomorrow

Atoks mentioned the idea of an book in his blog, in which he wants to write down important hands. I might do something similar, because if you write down what you learn in video's, coaching's, sample hand forum etc. you can keep it better. I will think about the structure a little bit, but it's a good idea; until now I only made some notes on papers, that fly around...

Today I played the PS.de League and reached the final table. I must say I really sucked out three guys: I beat a set of kings with quads of Jacks, AA with a straight and some other big leading guy with a straight I rivered with J8s, when I had 2 BB left and was in the Big Blind. It was fun

During that time I played some Cash game, but didn't manage to end the session in the plus. Made a pretty bad call, when I made my FH on a QQ899 board on the river, which burried my earlier winnings :( ; learned my lesson. Bankroll is still at ~200$

Well, finally my September Graph; let's hope October is bringing better times
(at least it started better)

This was my session today. I managed to play a lot, but it was just a BE- Day:

Lost two FH today, was sucked out with AA by AK, who hit trips on the river. The hand that argues me the most:

One question:

"Don't you never ask yourself if you could use the time you are sitting in front of your PC being bothered with poker in a better way?"

I often ask myself that (not only in times of downswings), which shows me that I don't stand fully behind my online poker- hobby. This is why I am thinking about just stop it and do other things.
If I was playing NL100 and win a lot of money I probably wouldn't ask this question, but if I want to play NL100 a day I just have to invest much time online which somehow seems to me not to be the right thing at the moment. Have you ever asked yourself this and to which conclusion did you came?

I mean actually I like it all, the forum, the game, the suckouts, the winnings, the funniest played hands of my opponents and so but ...

Update: loosing session today with 2 and 3 outers and one bad, bad call... 20$ down  and please do not just say: "ah, you're in a downswing..." ;)

In the Bronze Freeroll I was busted in an all in situation, where I hold KK and my opponents QQ, KT. There came two queens on the board...

Here is my sessiongraph from today. I even won a big pot just to loose it again in ym set over set pot.

Counting rakeback and winnings in the tournament together I even won my today:

2.5$ + 11$ - 8.85$ = 4.65$

Yeah...

What do you say? Do I suck? Am I failed in Cashgame and should rather play SnG's? Should I just stop poker for a while or forever; I would have made round about 120€ with it. Not too bad, but I want more ;)

For getting variety I just played 8 SnG's on Titan and cashed in 3 of them, which made me win 8$, so I somehow managed to end this day more or less BE, but I am still angry about this Cashgame session.
I have watched a SnG- Vid by HoRRoR earlier and felt like playing SnG. Perhaps I will switch to them and take a break from Cashgame now, even if I find it the most interesting and ambitious way of playing poker. That also means, that I have to read the SnG articles and have much videos to watch, but perhaps I need a new beginning...

Well I thought about all this the past days and came to the following conclusion:

I like poker, so I'll play poker. My favourite game is NL SH, so I'll play NL SH.
I must learn to deal with downs, so it is just a part of my progress. I won't let the down discourage me

With the new decidedness I hope to come back stronger into the poker game. Today I tried some new things especially in unraised pots, which seem to pay off. Basically I will use controlled slow playing of strong made hands on the flop, even if I know that it might go wrong. Therefore protection stands clearly above slow playing. In the past I set slow playing completely aside to protect myself of making mistakes. Now, that I pay extra attention on it, I think that the risk is passable. Examplehand, on which I probably would have donked the flop earlier:

Turn: ($0,84) 7♥ (3 players)

River: ($6,84) A♣ (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3,42, 2 folds.

Final Pot: $10,26

Another thing I have to work on is to accept that a session may end with losses and that this doesn't mean, that I played bad. It's just part of the game and I have to improve there also.

The last two sessions were really good again. I increased my BR to ~230$ and start to feel confident again, especially in my postflop game. After my holidays something went wrong there, I guess. Laydowns are becoming easier, that means that I became more patient, which is a good attribute.

My favourite hand today. I know that I totally overbetted the river, but I felt that he will call:

Well, on the last three days I only played a very short session each day. These didn't run too good, I lost round about one stack in each. On Sunday I felt ill and had headache, which made it a very bad session I guess, but I wanted to play the bronze freeroll and lost my stack with AcKc on a two c- suited board. I shouldn't have shoved, but I didn't care actually and lost agains a PP ( JJ I think).
Then the University took my time and exhausted me, that's why I wasn't fully concentrated the past two days and lost but won experience. ;)
Tomorrow I'll be able to play a lot, like three hours or so.
My BR is at 220$. On Sunday I was at 240$ but, as always, I lost after receiving rakeback...

I seem to have reached the next "bounce back border". As I wasn't able to cross 150$ earlier I seem not to be able to cross 250$ now. I was almost there, like 242$, and now I am down to 210$ again. Third try...

I hope it will end now. The last week was just terrible. Every session was a loosing session. Patience....

Lot of time passed since my last post. Here is the latest:

I'm on my way back up to NL10. BR is 225$ again, so only 5 Buy Ins are missing. While I was not posting I think, that I moved more or less steadily upwards; I've been down to 185$ again few days ago.
The new Promotion is not really a pleasure on Titan, since I am only Bronze member there.
I lack round about 3k TP to the next level. How long do you need to play on, say NL10, to become a silver member? I will use the Reloadbonus, but I will get way less RB as during the STB.

I hope that I make it this time to NL10; I want to see some progress in my Limits!

While I am waiting for the new Elephant version, I wish you good luck at the tables.
