Omaha? For real??
Yep. That's right. I played some PL Omaha Hi last night. Just for the fun of it. Played around 40 hands winning $11.. Or 44BB.. Nice..
I also played some SnG... Lost a little more than I won... Down about 3Bi... But I felt my Push or Fold game was improving..

Today I played some more PL Omaha. This game really makes me have some great fun. I only play 1 table so I can follow every hands and learn as much as possible. I will be using much more time on Omaha in the next days.
Here are some stats for the two sessions I played today. An hour an 40 minutes in total:
Game: PL Omaha Hi
Limit: PL25
Hands played: 111
Profit/loss: +$25.47
Anyone knows of a program that can make graphs of omaha games. Poker Tracker Omaha has some graphs but they are really lousy..

Hello everyone.. Time for a little update..
I have not played any SnG's the last couple of days, because I have had all my focus on PL Omaha.
I'm doing really well. I have tested the waters on four platforms and I have plus $ on all four. Only three of them work with Poker Tracker Omaha (Full Tilt, Party Poker and Everest).. Pacific doesn't.
The three that I can track has a total profit of just over $90, and on Pacific I'm up $45.. That's a total of $135 for about 700 hands. Not that bad.
I will post more graphs and stats when I have a decent sample size..

Played some more PL Omaha Hi tonight. I play on Full Tilt atm, so unfrtunately I'm not making any points now.
I played 1 table for about 35 minutes with something like 50 hands or so. Made +$20.
I will post more detailed stats when I get the hand histories copyed to my stats computer.

Time for another Omaha update. The day started really bad and I lost $35 in about 5 minutes. So I told myself To get a f****** grip of myself and I won it back plus another $40. Some stats and a graph of my first thousand hands. (Missing about 150 hands from pacific and about $40 with that).

Small update, since my Poker Tracker Omaha can only hold 1000 hands until I get license.
Variance got back on me last night - and oh she's a bitch. Lost about $50, but I still got a solid profit on PLO.
I have had about $450 spread on different sites, and last night i decided to withdraw them all, so I now only have money on Party and Full Tilt.
Today I'll probabably play a couple of hours on the PLO tables on Full Tilt, and see how they act on a saturday morning.
Problem last night was that friday of course attrackt more fishes, which I thought would be nice, but it resulted in 3- and 4-betting preflop in something like 50% of the hands, and always multiway pots of 4-5 players. Ad everyone seemed eager to raise, re-raise and call with anything, so i could never really commit with anything but the nuts. And when I did I got screwed on the river.
But well. That's poker, and I still win more than I loose, so I'm not too sad about it. I have tried the 7 day free trial on DC and I grab all the PLO videos I can get.

Long time since last update. I have not played much but have managed to loose most of what I won on omaha. Ironically this happened after I started to read about the game and whatch videos. But I still play around with it..
Yesterday I felt like going back to SnG for a while. And it went well. I got ITM in 3 of 4, so that was satisfying. One of them was a $6 Bi, which I won. I played 3 hands before reaching the bubble with about average stack, and then my push or fold game started. The one most important thing I have learned in omaha is PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE, POSITION, PATIENCE. It has somehow improved my holdem game, or at least changed my mindset to the better.

I think it's good to learn some other variants of poker, it gan give good insights to your holdem game
My blog is slowly dying. Not because I don't want to update, but because I play a lot of different things atm, experimenting with different game types.
Lately I have been going back to SnG, playing the $6 on Party, and so far I'm doing really well.
Anyway, when I get fully back to SnG, I'll start updating more and better. And I might even buy PT3, though I'm really not happy about it, because it doesn't give the right results and payouts in the SnG's, so I have to enter everything manually.
But Someday in the near future, I'll start updating more.
Oh and btw, I played the BOTD last night and came in 2nd (for the Poker Strategists that is), and really had a lot of fun playing it. Cashing $9.45.

I completely understand what you're saying. The reason I have tried other things than holdem is that I get bored if I do the same all the time.
But...
I have decided to give SnG's and some MTT's my full attention now. I want to master it and beat $6. Only one problem:
PokerTracker 3 does a horrible job when it comes to importing SnG's from party. They have fixed the position matter (more or less, it's still not entirely working), but the payout I still have to fix myself. And that really bothers me, cause I have 300+ SnG's that are not correct and that's gonna be a bitch if I should go through all that.
I think I might delete all hand history and start over, and then check the PT result after every single tournament..
