Finally I have the BR to grind NL10 again. After I had a good day yesterday and a nice session right now, my BR is at 265$. I sat down at one table (to get used to the new betting sizes and game flow) and managed to win a stack, which gives me motivation and a little bit confidence.
Maybe I'll play a bit later, but I am not sure if I find the time.

I am so glad right now, that I am back to what I wanted to start in September with. ♦

Well, a little update is necessary.

Have been playing NL10 for round about 2 weeks now not running too good. I got used to the bet sizes and the little more aggressive preflop play, and feel because of this actually pretty comfortable. At the moment, however, I am again in a phase, in which I get like the worst river card for my hand very often and do not get paid off by my opponents.

A bigger sample size is needed, so I need to play more. Since the university is needing the most of my time, I cannot play as much as I'd like to, but there will be a time.

If you don't know what to do, just watch Big Bang Theory. It's an American TV show about some physicist nerds, so it's pretty funny: ♦

Yes, Im there playing NL2-10 but I play much less now. Less quantity, more quality

right now I am feeling really safe in my play at NL10. I implemented my game more or less the way it was on NL5 and it seems to work.

In my preflop game I still have problems, when I get 3betted or there was a raise before me. My balancing there needs an upgrade, so I think I will look for these hands and post them in the forum.

Postflop is okay, I think. My problems with overpairs remains and I am still scared to cbet/semibluff/bluff and so on in 3betted pots, which does not come from scared money, but from the fact that I can't estimate the ranges of my opponents right. I'll search some hands concerning this subject also and post them in the forum.

So, in general I am happy that my stats seem to be okay. On my 3bet- Play I'll work for sure, starting the weekend.

Today I had a bad session, as always, when I get rakeback. Again there were a few situations in that I was being 3betted and I folded, or I 4betted and my opponent pushed, so that I had to fold. Then I ran with my KK into AA and also I lost with trips against a "playing every hand guy". Afterwards I found this hand funny.

I know I completly missplayed it, but I would have gone broke anyway on any street (I know, I should have folded preflop, but I've been a little bit tilt, that I didn't get a good hand). He pushed three times directly postflop, so I decided to do that also:

Bad play, you pay...

After watching a vid by hasenbraten concerning 3bets preflop, I started a session to use the seen possibilities. In general it helped me and worked out. Nevertheless this session again went bad.

This hand represents in a good way of how I am running for the past three months. My BR oscillates from 290$ to 210$ and up and down and up and down. Sick; I play for 5 days really good and move steadily upwards and then there comes a down and I loose everything in three sessions or so; so my edge seems to be small, if there is one.

I also think I should have played bet/fold turn...

Well his shove is a good tell on what he has, specially after you raise. His W$SD is another. His full stack is another. Looks like an easy fold actually.

Of course, this is hard to see when he might be playing fast and furious and you are under pressure, multitabling.
Sometimes I forget to stop and take a good luck at the hand before I click "call" and it can be costly.

Yeah, I think I will keep my chin up. Today I played just a little bit again; the first time since saturday. I decided to play a short HU session on NL2 and would have been two stacks up, if there had not been the ace on the river...
BE is not too bad.

nl2 is evil.

Time for a little update again.

The december started really good, but since I am only NL2 and NL4 I am not too suprised about it, but still happy.

I will use the december just to improve my postflop skill by playing only NL2 and NL4. Doing so I can built my BR very easily for a new (then the 3rd...) attempt on NL10.
Somehow I always have been a little bit impatient on NL10, that's why I keep playing the lower limits for now.

Looking at my winrate NL2 is probably unbeatable with its 27BB/100 on 22000 hands in total. ♦

Hey,

yesterday I decided to cash out everything, cause I am convinced, that I should use my time in another way.
I still like poker and I learned a lot about the game, but playing BE for the past three months makes my motivation fall very deeply. Much time has been invested and would still need to be invested, but I don't see anything, except a bit money, that I get from it. Perhaps it would pay off, if I work harder on my game, so that I beat, say NL100, at the end of the next year, but I just don't see myself in doing so.
