I played 5 WSOP prelims, bricking 4 of them but making 35th in a $1k to show a little profit. I made day 3 of the main event but didn't cash unfortunately. Here's a pic that katie75013 took of me playing. The reg to my left in the shot kept on battling with a middle-aged woman two to his left who kept on winning their battles tabling junk, which was pretty entertaining.
Here are a few of the interesting hands.
$1k WSOP Prelim
Blinds: 100-200
Pre: I raise to 450 with KJs in MP1. Reg 3bets to 1k, having started the hand with 2250. I call.
Flop: K87
Action: I shove.
Analysis: I assume if I 4bet shove pre he's never folding, so it's like he's 3bet shoved. In that case the pot would be 3k and it'd cost me under 2k to call, so it's a nice spot even if I only have 40% equity vs his range which I almost definitely do here with a decent suited broadway hand. There's only one way I can potentially make his life a bit trickier, which is to just call instead and shove any flop. I realize the common thing to do post is play anti-literally, i.e., openshove flop when I miss but check it to him when I actually connect. Possibly without much meta I should just do that, but I tend to find that stop 'n go strategy to be pretty transparent, so I follow through with the plan and just ship the top pair.

Blinds: 50-100
Maniac drunk guy raises to 250 UTG, 2 flats, I call 88 in BB. I have 4k at start of hand and everyone covers.
Flop: K 8 8 rainbow
Checked to middle-aged guy on button who bets 250, I call and drunk guy calls.
Turn: K
Checked around.
River: 5
I shove, drunk folds, button calls.
Analysis: I think the best play at the turn in a spot like this is usually to fight your instinct to get cute with quads and just openshove. Most guys are gonna call KX (only one combo beats them), but if the river comes anything 9 or higher, they may get spooked by the possible higher full and not play for stacks. And no other hand besides KX is likely to pay you off, so it doesn't matter much in that case. I check here though because the drunk guy had jammed 10x pot as a bluff before, so I wanted to give him every opportunity to spew it off. Guess I should've been more concerned with the button though as he had the higher quads!
Main Event
Blinds: $150-$300-$25

Pre: Reg UTG+1 raises to $700, I flat TT in SB, we go heads-up to flop.
Flop: Kc Tc 6d
Action: I check, he bets $800, I c/r to $2800, he calls.
Turn: 8c
Action: I check, he bets $3125, I call.
River: Qd
Action: I check, he bets $6100, I call.
Analysis: I think turn and river are pretty close here, thoughts on either street welcome.

First, I wanned to tell you that I love to watch your videos on Pokerstrategy and I think that they are most professional and one of the best out there. Also your profesional attitude is what inspires me to play better, more professional and to learn poker more. I really like how well you know the math behind plays of SNGs and MTTs and how, aside of that, you always take into consideration human/bubble and other factors into account.

What are 2-3 main diffrences in your opinion between MTSNGs and MTTs?
Which 3 methods you would recommend for learning and improving your game in MTTs? Which gonna give the most results in your opinion?
