you can't just say something like that and not explain?! Surely you can just re-grind up your roll from nl25 or something?

Hey guys!

I apologise for not being specific about my last post but it's kinda traumatizing and I avoid talking about it.

Since you showed so much interest though I will explain what happened.

Last two months, I withdrew 90% of my roll and started playing live cash games. I did very well on 1/1 and 1/2 in my town so I decided to visit London for a few weeks to play some higher games.

In London I was mostly playing 2/5 and sometimes 5/10. One day an opportunity arose where there was a seat available on the softest 25/50 you can imagine. It was just 2 good regs and the other players were a mix of filthy rich businessmen/footballers/actors who were donating money to the table.

I could not pass such a good opportunity, so I bought in for 4 BI - 20k (average was 10 BI) which was pretty much my entire BR. My plan was to play very very tight and just value bet them.

Anws... I was doing very well at the table and was up 1 BI and this happened...

I have AhAd on the CO with 25k behind. UTG was straddling to £100. UTG +1 and MP call. MP+1 who plays for Chelsea makes it £1200 and I re raise to £2800. MP+1 just calls.

Flop is AQ5r. I am loving life and dreaming of holiday destinations :P MP+1 checks, I bet 2/3 of the pot, and to my surprise he goes all-in and had me covered.

I check my cards to make sure I still had the top set and call with a smile. I asked the guy if he wanted to show, he flips over QQ and I proudly show my hand.

The dealer dealt the turn which was an 8 and then the river.... Yeah you guessed it. The last lady in the deck.

That is it basically. I got sucked out on for a £50k pot where I had 95.66% equity and busted pretty much my entire roll.

Damn what a suckout, I guess that's why people put so much importance to bankroll management. All-in equity adjusted you're doing great ! ;) (Hope it's not too soon for a joke about it). Anyway, I'd be happy if this thread was continued.

So sick :(

Hopefully you'll be able to get over this and get back into the grind though! As mentioned above, I'm sure you'll be able to recover!

Considering it's April first and I'm pretty sure I know your screen-name since you posted a hand I was involved in and that you were playing Nl100 this weekend. I'm going to assume this is a joke :f_grin:

If this is true, I'm really sorry . Hope you will rebuild quickly !
