I preffer 300 BI for MTT in stars since field is very huge.

Personally I prefer 400 average buyins or more for the big stars tournaments. However, especially on the low stakes, you should be fine with 200 average buyins most of the times.

I think that's a fine BR to start at that level of buy in! What i recommend you is to avoid HUGE FIELDS! Because the variance is huge!!! Try to look for MTTs with less players or cap ones! Late at night you can find these!

Or you might also want to try another poker room where the fields for these BUY IN level are way shorter and easier!
