The 3rd one was against a fish. I would fold the turn if that Ace didn't come. It looks like he is trying to represent it. Should I think that fish is bluffing is another pair of shoes. Probably not. Besides, I have a weak flushdraw, which would maybe be good in case he has a better Ace. Does he have to hit a flush with that crap preflop? Obviously not.

The 4th one was against another fish which rarely folds to cbets. My A-high is often good against him, so I bet the flop with the overs and bet the turn with OESD. Can't do nothing on the river.

The next was against another calling happy fish, so I decided to value bet my 2nd pair on the flop and turn + protect it against draws he might have. Obviously, he had a better hand this time then just an usual crap.

The biggest win came from the player from first two hands. This time he managed to fold something, which is nice because he probably had a flushdraw and would hit it on the river if called.

So, another session, and another 2 BI's down. Aces cracked for the 5th time this week. Just keep them going!

#3 what do you think beats you from his range? Because actually it looks like an easy call to me..

I don't expect him to bet worse hands. If I was him, would check back Tx or Jx with a low kicker on that board, also some hands like 55,77, 88. He could easily have two pairs, flush or even sometimes KQ or 87, I think. The only hands I expect him to bluff the river, which called that flop (but maybe not the turn) and that I beat are AK or AQ, but he would sometimes 3bet them preflop.

All in all, I think calling would be very close, but in my experience I don't expect to be ahead often enough.

Yeah it's not that easy call as I said, I misread the board slightly didn't notice str8 draw completed too.. well yeah, I guess it's pretty villain dependable, I would call off someone with high river aggression frequencies, and fold to ones from the low edge of river aggression..

Crappy day here in Croatia.. Who knows where the Sun is, it's hard to realize is it a day or a night.

Crappy day at iPoker NL10 Speed, also. Sitting and waiting for the players.. Played 10 hands in 16 minutes.. Still, managed to play this one:

Ok, finished the session.. Managed to win €12,73 at the end of it. This was actually my first winning session after 6 losing, so at least something to be happy about.

The biggest loss was against a regular. Tried to make him fold his middle pairs and AQ, which he might sometimes have on the river. Unfortunatelly, he had a K. Maybe that bluff should be slightly bigger, but I think it's big enough to make him fold the targetting hands, especially with that river card.

I really hate this non-existing traffic at iPoker NL10 Speed. It's only possible to play afternoon, against a few opponents. It's ridicilous because there is alot of traffic at NL5 and NL20 through all day and night. With my bankroll it's stupid to play NL5, but I don't have enough for NL20 yet, nor feel very comfortable there.. So, I can only wait for opponents. Sometimes I'm the only idiot sitting at 6 tables and hoping that someone will think that there are 6 players playing and maybe join. :f_confused: The fact that there are no players at NL10 force me to play NL5 sometimes, but I also peek to NL20 from time to time, untill someone shows up at NL10.

Didn't play much this week, but had a very nice hand yesterday which I want to show you. It was against a very aggressive guy, so decided to shove my weak flush on the turn.

Your roll looks more than ready for nl20 in my opinion. Players there still like to donate their stacks.

You can definitely play some nl5 more against me. Yesterday I was giving away free stacks.

Nah, I would rather wait for 40 + 4 BI's and take a 4 BI's shot. Last time I lost 10 stacks in a couple of days. Had some bad strike, but also felt like I don't had that level yet.. Will see.

Feel free to skype me next time when you'll donate the money, would like to take some! :P

I also think that the roll is ready, at least for the juiciest non-Speed NL20 tables. Generally, BRM for normal tables works differently: you can gradually lower the requirements for a table of the higher stake to be 'playable'. E.g. (I don't know the landscape of NL20, your WR vs different player types, etc., so can't tell exactly, can just outline the general rule), having 30 BI for NL20, sit at tables with 4 fishes or one on the immediate right and 2 more and a nit on the left; when you hit 40 BI, start adding worse NL20 tables, like with 3 fishes in suboptimal positions; when you hit 50 BI, add Speed NL20, then mix in the juiciest normal NL50 tables, and so on.

A big problem with playing only Speed is that there's no table selection and BRM becomes more discrete (i.e. you can play either only NL10 or only NL20 and need a well-defined number of BIs for NL20 at a given time to enter it), but there's still the playing time consideration: there are times when the Speed pool is softer, so the expected winrate is bigger and you can enter it having fewer BIs than at reggy (weekday peak) times (when you should stay at the lower limit).

I usually play afternoon because am working in the morning. So, didn't pay much attention to when the Speed pool is softer. Do you have any info for NL10 and NL20 on iPoker?

Unfortunately no info :f_frown: : if I play cash, I do so with 4 cards. PLO20-50 in European weekday evenings is terrible (hard selection is required to get 2 fishes per table), definitely softer at night, as for afternoons, I have no sample but it seemed not as soft as at night.

It's hard to get to play at fishy hours on weekdays as long as you work, exactly because many other regs of those stakes (who are mostly Europeans) have jobs too or prefer to play at hours of big traffic because they get bored by few-tabling, while most recreationals log in after work far not every day.

Had an interesting session at NL5 few minutes ago (yeah, still no traffic at NL10), but decided to quit very soon because didn't feel focused enough. The weather is really miserable here, without any light, and it's rainny. Guess that effects to my state of mind because I feel like doing nothing today..

With every session, I'm kind of hoping that the bad strike will end soon, but it's stubborn like hell. One hand made me miserable, just like the weather, as soon as I started to play.

After that I found myself in a tough spot oop with TP. It's just hard for me to play oop when faced with 3bets, when holding a mid strenght hand against a regular. Folding would be too weak, but the hand itself is too weak for 4bet for value. Also, I don't feel confortable calling and being oop without initiative and turning every non-monster hand into a 4bet bluff also looks ridiculous. So, basically, I feel like I can't make the right move.. This time I was tempted to fold the turn, but the river was a clear fold, imo.

Then I started to slowly lose my nerves, when this one came. Probably wouldn't be a mistake to fold the river, but who knows.

After this one I had to laugh and end it. The guy is a fish and I don't want to bluff him, so decided to check the hand when missed the board.

So, that was probably it for today. Had two sessions yesterday. Run into AA with AK against a maniac at NL10, and lost half a stack at NL20 with KQ against a fish with KT, which hits two pairs on the flop. (might be I made a mistake with that, but will post it into the forum). Today I get a rakeback payment, so still turning arround €650.. Current situation:

BR: €663,07

Will go to the gym later (have to write something about that in future posts, I guess) and just wait for this day ends. See you soon!

Another session today, another 3 BI's down. I like this one the most. The guy was waiting 40 seconds to call my squeeze. I probably have to fold to his flop check/raise, but just couldn't do it. Maybe it's ok in a 3bet pot. He can have some worse hands, including bluffs and semi-bluffs.

That was the 7th losing session in a row, the record for this year. Also, €63,78 in red for 2014, which is, actually, not that bad.

So, yeah, let's keep crushing!

I had an awesome shot at nl 10 yesterday. Although i play nl10 lon partypoker sometimes and nl10 feels absolutely full of fish and non thinking ABC's.

After seeing your tendencies and stats you could try TAG approach instead and then gradually move to LAG. That way you would get mostly good spots and ocasionally bad beats.
