Hallo PokerTracker ,

i have the same problem with Poker770.
Can you sent me this file: iPokerCommunicator.pt4 to ViktorKoch@live.de

Thank you

Please restart your computer, then vist our website and download the latest version of PokerTracker 4. Run the installer, be sure to watch for any error messages - if you see any messages then please write down the error and contact us in this thread. We advise disabling your antivirus and firewall software while performing this operation.

There is no need to email the file to you, if you follow the instructions above this will solve the issue for you - assuming it is the same issue.

Getting exactly the same problem as the opening poster. Except I'm on betfred poker.

Tried all steps mentioned in this thread but whenever I load a speed poker table it crashes the betfred client.

Important note, it only happens on a speed poker poker table.

Normal cash games are fine as are DON SNG's.

Weird!

What else can I do? I tried everything mentioned in this thread already.

EDIT: It's now crashing on DON SNG's as well!

Guys, I recommend you contact the Pokertracker support team directly over here. They'll be happy to send you the files you need, if that's the source of the problem.

Also, you can already check the date of the file in question (data/bin/iPokerCommunicator.pt4 in your Pokertracker 4 folder). If it's a lot older than the date of your last update, you might as well mention it in your support ticket, so they'll know what to do right away.

Thanks Harrier.

Yes just checked & that file in mine is dated 18th February.

Looks like that's my problem then as I only reinstalled PT4 this morning.

I will file a support ticket later today when I have more time.

Yes, we will send the file but we only need to send the file if there is a third party tool such as an antivirus app that is interfering and we find that the user does not understand how to run the installer again while disabling the interfering app. Its much quicker to do this yourself by running the installer again, thats why we advise taking this method. It saves a lot of time, helps our users get up and running in minutes instead of days.

BetFred is a slightly different issue though. They released a new client software, it will be supported in the next version of PokerTracker 4 released soon. For the time being we advise disabling the Speed Poker HUD, then re-enable it once the new version of PT4 is released.

Ok thanks for your response.

I will wait until the new version is released then.

Any rough time estimate on this?

Going back to the first part of your post, I disabled my anti virus & firewall whilst I re-installed pokertracker earlier & it still kept the old iPokerCommunicator.pt4 file.

We do not provide estimates on releases, sorry. I can say we are currently working on a new feature, incorporating this feature this is our priority while we work on the new release - everything else will be included when the new feature is ready, so expect a very big, very major update!

As for the iPokerCommunicator there appears to be something else interfering with the installation, that would require forensic work by our staff to determine what is causing this problem - something we cannot do in this thread, but we can help inside of your ticket.

UPDATE:

We have a new method to force the download of the iPokerCommunicator.pt4 file for those of you who had this problem:

  1. Open PT4 and in the menu go to File > Open User Data Folder then close down PT4 and all of your poker sites.
  2. In the window that opened go to the Config/AutoFiles folder. You should see a file called "stableFileList.ini" - delete that file.
  3. When you run PT4 again it should download a new version of the iPokerCommunicator.pt4 file which works with the updated iPoker client software that your skins are using.
