Hey guys,
am not planning to play anymore this month, so lets wrap the APRIL.
Once again, not the best in terms of volume 75 hours is ... really really little. But this month i dont feel like I was too lazy, dunno. Prolly just too many other stuff goin on. Also when I dropped 60s+ and started calculating my bankroll for WSOP I might lose motivation to grind hard now, dont wanna drop too much in a downer, dont wanna play too much so I can enjoy my family when am still here...
It was a decent month, overall my year is very decent, maintaining my 2,5-3$/game. Happy with that, but so many things can happen after Vegas/WSOP, so who knows what the plan will be after it I can tell u that grindin only 30s is not that much motivating, need some higher challenge again.
Numbers:
1756 games
in 75 hours
first time majority of games were 9m hypers
ABI of 35$
profit 3,155$
+ 1,041$ FPP value + 300$ BoP + 250$ stellar =
TOTAL PROFIT of 4,746$
and HOURLY of 63$
which is obviously epic result. Also finally min cashed SM...hate MTTs ♦ Got one buyin back from golden sngs and got over 1620 points in high orbit for 30s but finished 4th (FML).
Plan for May is only to grind 6,5k VPPs to maintain SN, wont play any game in June, so. Keep on preparing for WSOP, studying WTA ranges (cEV) and so on. Make plan on how many and which events to play (4-7) and prepare basically everytin for me leaving...already have problems with sleeping, thinkin about million things i need to do thn how will i miss family thn how will i go busto there and so on ♦ epic nights

oh and i promise to be more informative about this WSOP, creatin all the social web accounts, gettin new tablet and so on. In Czech/Slovak PokerStrategy, CardPlayer magazine and many more channels it will have some promotion thx to Michal Maryska, my friend, investor and also kind of manager actually LOL.

not much to talk about again, almost didnt play online, so myn things goin on.
Entered 400$ main event of Czech Poker Tour on 7th May and went deep, actually played 3 days, was on final table (TV table) with avg stack, moved ladder, got some chips and was above avg in 8 players but thn once again...neveeer. 45bbs eff deep am 3b AKo against BTN (maniac) open, he 4b and I jam he snaps JJ and bamm...felt very edgy, great tournament but ending with such a flip for chiplead...but good training for vegas, very confident so hopefully I bink some FT in vegas ♦

ONE week to flight...
Decided to give up 6,5k VPP "chase" and take care of everytin else that need to be done prior me leaving. Will be busy pretty much every day ♦ OK if u take as "busy" spend whole day on golf course or be hangover after my "goodbye" party...
Anyways I ll be informin here a lot I hope, so am gonna give u guys some first plan...
20th - get safe to Las Vegas (flying with Michal and Peter, maybe someone else, dunno lol thru London), should be okey, dont need another experience wth Waschington airport like last time ♦
after landing our assistent Klara should pick us up, tkae us to the house we have rented, we ll check it but will be sleepin with Dominik our good friend and guide in Vegas/USA. We should meet in final number for the trip (8 ppl) during night, maybe get some sleep and rent car/cars for the trip, pack and so on.
21st we go like this:
Las Vegas – Santa Barbara – Solvang – San Francisco – Sequoia NP – Kings Canyon NP – Yosemite NP – Bodie – Mono Loko – Death Valley NP – Las Vegas

After that on 28th I believe we ll be back in Vegas and in our rented house.
Will see if STTs will run in RIO next day, but on 30th I start with 1,500$ event 6 which is shootout. Next day if I bust am gonna jump in both flights of Millionaire Maker (1,5k event 8A,B). Depending on ym run I ll play another two 1k Sunday events and some 1,5k Saturday events. Should play 5 events with total buyin 6,5k.
BUT mainly I ll grind 525$ STT satellites, possibly higher ones, possibly lower ones (only if needed coz of traffic) and see how can I run. Hope to play 160+ of these, 180 is solid goal.
Will post later whos with me there and other plans/goals

first of all GL at WSOP from SLovakia!
I just finished reading the whole blog. I must say it is very motivating. How you keep improving and being able to beat all the games you play consistently. I have a lot of questions I would love to ask you, because I am trying to become professional player like you and I am trying to get to the higher limits (I was playing 5s and 10s at fulltilt but came to PS because of traffic and I am kind of struggling at 7s right now)
I will think about the questions and if it would be possible to contact you somehow, after you ship some events at WSOP, it would be great!
I have to thank you one more time for this blog I am sure you have inspired a lot of people.

Ps: You wrote a few pages earlier that you have recorded coaching when you were colin's guest. If you still have it and have no problems with sharing it, I'd love to see. I am regular at his coachings but I have missed that one somehow...

They are recorded but appear as podcasts in the video section with a significant delay (about a week currently). Also, Pokerstrategy has decided to not upload them to Justiv anymore to prevent them from being viewed by non-members. Instead, the status needed to access a podcast is now sometimes higher (and is usually not lower) than the one needed for the live coaching it's based on.

About recordings - ghaleon and tonypmm answered it for me; when I did coachings with Collin, it was on various streaming servers like twitch, justin.tv and ustream - sometimes u could find it somewhere in history (the last one I did was and maybe still is on justin.tv somewhere). From like month ago COllins coachings became silver+ and videos from it appears later as podcast videos in videos section here on PS.GLGL!

For first good luck at WSOP 2014! I read your blog very quickly, because it's very interesting, has tons of value and positive thinking, for me it's the best blog STT that I read! I know that a lot of people talking about this and maybe this is boring you, but I must say that your blog is very motivating... I heard so many negative words about STT 9-mans, that in 30+ you have reg on the reg, that most is BE or have minimum ROI like 2%, words that is completely no future format, that is dying and some other else. Aaaaand you showed that all is the bullshit, at least for me. I had depressed thoughts that I chose bad format of game, and lost so many hours of studying this, but you give me a positive shot, I believe that it's make a huge sense, still. Once again GL at WSOP!

"9mans are dead" and stuff like that ♦ Yeah it was around a lot...but I would say it was more about changes in traffic, that the biggest crushers and multitablelers couldnt play 30-50tables as they were used to. (Talkin about 16s on PS or so). Also objectively there are not many formats that can offer games runnin in good amount over 60s. So yes, 9mans are limited, but far away from dying. And about profit from them - like in every other format or sport or w/e - u ll have so many "good" players that prolly beat the game, can beat the fish and so on, but only hte ones that have some special talent they work on or just put tons of hours to study/train will be the best. So if u here at 9mans that having 2% ROI at 30s is good - it is but that s not the limit Worst that can happen and i see that a lot is that these "good" players start to think about very low ROI as standard and basically dont try to make more and in some time without studying and working they are BE...thn losin...it is simple, u need to keeep on improving and u ll do just fine
On this note, I was talkin to one friend and talkin about me being in Vegas in 2012 and I was like...wow I remember it pretty clearly, also few hands and stuff and it is ONLY 2 years but I made such a huge step in poker strategy, thinking adn so on...so u need to keep improvin, poker is awesome

So true what you said about regs that get too comfortable with what they have and before you know it you are losing. I (and I think almost every reg had this period) had a period like that as well until you start to realize that it's just not going to cut it if you keep thinking like that.

Have some time before the lunch is done (yeah, oven does the job without checkin it every minute #ovenstyle), so am gonna introduce u who s comin "with" me to Las Vegas this year, who s gonna be living in the same awesome house and whos gonna play what...
Michal Maryska, thats obvious, great friend and also staker, great high stakes cash game player, last years mostly PLO and some OFC. It s gonna be his 4th coming to Vegas, he cashed 3rd in 3k PLO last year so his ambition is the bracelet He s gonna play all PLO events, some NLH events with value and loot of cash games across strip.
playersvk - one of the top 9m regs, specially at KOs, coach, video producer, great HJ, also know him personally from few occasions...and he s for all the fun (as everyone in the house ) He s goin to play same STT satties as I will (= about 525s).
Tim64 aka onthestoop - u know him very well from this forum, great 6max player, coach, staker and longboard master wannabe. Same games as me and playersvk.
Sentin - sentin7 - great HU player (hu sngs), video producer, coach, mindset coach, he will be the spirit of the house and guarantee that noone will be in the bad mood or he ll meditate us from it same games as us.
+2 good friends from Czech that play poker in various formats for many years that are super fun with and gonna play lower STTs
+for 2 weeks we have a guest, publisher of Czech & Slovak Card Player Hynek Blaha.
Takin care of us babies will be our assistent Klara currently living in Vegas and will be available for us 24/7.
Except Klara, TIm and Sentin we r all goin for the week trip before WSOP as I mentioned earlier + Dominik our good friend in Vegas and his father.
Am super excited + nervous from the flight and stuff around it. Will miss my family big deal, that s obvious. But am not flying there just to have fun, I do this because of the posibility to change my/our life with some bink or at least make nice money. Ofc big part of motivation is simply WSOP, the best and biggest u can experience in poker. Also it has huge value coz of the group I put together, very excited about all the discussions and sweats we gonna have.
We plan not to just grind (but we will like 12hrs day+) but also consume Las Vegas, enjoy it on maximum...will see how it goes
