Hey guys,
Writing my first post from USA, few days later thn planned but few things didnt go as smooth as expected...ok maybe it was a bit expected,but...
So lets start with the flight. It was absolutely fine, travelling with Michal, Peter (playersvk) and Hynek (publisher of Czech Slovak ,CardPlayer), took us only like 15 hours from Prague to London and to Las Vevas. There were no delays or long immigration procedures or anytin. Unfortunately couldnt sleep but thats typical for me. At the airport we were picked up by our assistent Klara, very nice person btw and went directly to the rented house to meet the owner, check the place and pay the last part of the rent.
Here comes the problem. The owner didnt fullfill one important part of the deal, doesnt matter concretely, but we were like "wow". He was kinda angry, pretending that he knows nothing about few emails and so on and our conversation ended that evening - better to sleep on it and start over. Basically we didnt want to deal with such an asshole guy but how can u get similar house in few days and so on...kinda sick situation. Next day morning after again very short sleep for me (jetlag...) we went to the house prepared for everything. Somehow it was like dealing with another guy, super sweet, fair and we managed to get nice deal, shake hands...big releave, felt like really nice river card.
So it s like 12pm and we already are behind schedule in our 6 day trip when we plan to drive 3000km. As i said earlier it s 8 guys, Me, Michal, Peter, Hynek, Dominik and his dad and Standa and Pavel from Beroun. We rented one car, as second car we took dominiks, packed and left Vegas.
We were goin to Santa Barbara but had to skip few stops there so we could make it to the camping area at Jalama Beach National Park. Weather got bit ugly, cloudy and windy but no rain, 12 celsiums (yeah really cold) and right after the sunset we arrived. Building tents in dark, barbecue meat and....yeah, lot of drinks so we r not cold and make it all easier lol. Before midnight we were all fed and in good mood. Few of us went to bed early, some slept in tents, some in the cars, some outside on the bench and one didnt sleep at all lol. No need to blog about everything lol. Anyways it was fun...I did sleep again only 3-4 hours but no headache or so which is good.
What was awesome was the morning. Seagulls and sun woke us at 6:30 but it was nice morning. Few steps to the ocean, hills on the other side, clouds rolling over it and everyone in good spirit. Walk on the beach, breakfast, packing...talked about who s tired who s not so can drive and now am writing this post in the backseat of the car heading to San Francisco.
I can tell this - with group of guys like that we ll have really good time ;)

OK guys few words...

WSOP

Sry for ending my bloggin right in the beginnin, I just lost all the motivation and needs to blog. Dunno how to explain maybe simply when u share those moments and experiences with other players thn u dont feel the need to express it somewhere else. I said it many times, blog is for me mostly ventilation, helps me to sum things up and so on...it s nice to see that it helps others, motivates others, is somehow interesting for others, but honestly it s not its intention.

So...first week trip was awesome, I must recommend seeing San Francisco and make a trip back to Las Vegas via Yosemite and Death Valley...SF is beautiful city, Yosemite is prolly the nicest piece of nature I ve seen so far and experiencing goin from snowy hills down under the sea level in one day (and from like 5 degrees celsiums to 49 degrees) is just WOW.

After that it was just grind grind grind. ANother perfect experience, met so many interesting ppl, played so many hands, games...I didnt do anytin else in LV, just grinded so I didnt miss my family so much. Focused only on games, make some room to chill after obviously, but it was just about havin few (lots) of COronas every night/mornin and fallin asleep. House was nice, u can check it somewhere on pokertube. Living with other 6 poker players was awesome...and terrible...lol. U know, every one of us was inteligent hard headed individuum So it s pretty hard to come to consensus on sometin and so on. There was also language barier a bit between Michal (staker) and english speakin guys (Tim and Yaniv), sometimes it must have been weird for them not understanding and so on...
For me as a "manager" or so of our sng group...nice experience, but never ever again Dont take me to seriuosly, it was fun and there were no conflicts, it s just sometin am not ment to do, am not good in dealin with sometimes childish problems (in my own subjevtive eyes ofc). I mean I love that everyone is different, it is essence of live imo, but i dont wanna be managin individuums into one piece...but all in all it worked, not always as planned but it did. Wont be dealin with details.
Result wise, I played 5 events, no cash, painfull coz the field is super soft...played 100+ satellites with BE results (runnin bad again, LV owes me lot of money now :) ). Same for our group, it was in profit, but...notin to mention...dissapointment.

Last week I got fewer and didnt enjoy the best games, softest games, best ending parties and so on, which didnt help my mood...

But all in all - ++++++++EV a lot, ended in nice minus money wise, but experience and new ideas, thoughts = perfect.

NOT goin back for such long period. NOT playin satellites again as a main game there. WILL come back to play events, ME, for like 3 weeks+ or so some time in future...

Welll, that was Vegas. After returning I was with my girls, travelling in Czech Republic, havin fun. Not playing almost at all and if thn am learnin fifty50 once again, will talk about it later when I ll set some goals for September+.
There s gonna be major change in September, my wife got full time job as dentist, totally proud of her. Daughter at kindergarden (preschool). Means there ll be new regime, have to figure it out effective-time-management-wise. When to play, when to sleep, who s gonna pick daughter when and so on. Also have to include some sports and stuff. Gonna be new for all of us...

About poker goals later, still not sure, now it looks am gonna keep learning fifty50, make some challenge, add MTTs...focus more on $/hour and find some bigger goals like SNE?...dunno...

cya ;)

Hey guys,

so...September...as I said, my wife has a full job as a dentist. Our daughter will be at pre-school. I hate mornings... THis is the situation and I need to figure out how s it goin to work for me and for all of us.
My thinking is that I wanna be able to play in the mornings - not many games running so I need again another format not just 9mans. Also if it all works I have lot of free time, I mean working time when girls are gone, so there might be chance to make some big VPPs next year/s - again, need another formats.

I do have experience with 18mans and fifty50. 18mans are not in my mind now, dunno, never really enjoyed playing them but I believe I would beat em, it s basically usin knowledge I have from chipEV play and ICM knowledge I have from 9mans, slight adjustments.
Fifty50 format is more tempting for me now. I always somehow liked it, u encounter various players, many many nitty bad players to exploit, fishes that spew, there are antes early on and so on. There are games running whole day, not like super great traffic, but something.

SO in September, am gonna grind and learn fifty50 once again (I did play a lot 2years back or so up to 100s).
Am gonna grind 15$ fifty50 various speeds. this limit for few reasons - I didnt play much online for 4 months, need to get into it. Wanna study, wanna go up in tabling, dont wanna risk much now, just see I can beat sometin online
Plan is to go from 14 tabling and 2hrs sessions slowly to 20 tabling and 2,75hrs+ sessions. 15-30mins pre every session should I look into marked hands and so on. Also I hope am gonna be in touch with my friend who wants to study it more also.
Another goal is to get near 20$/hr preRB.

This month should wake me up from my hibernation, get use to grind, regime, work, study...

I hope I ll include gettin myself use to breakfast (yes i hate mornings, usually i wake up for lunch). Also I should stretch a little every day, strengthen my back a bit, not that I feel bad, but think about future.

One day maybe I ll be happy about wakin up early, workin out, havin great breakfast, goin to swing few balls on driving range and grind...and it ll be like noon when i finish. Now my day is beginnin with noon

Am gonna try to blog more about it, my progress, I wont be showin off too many graphs for sure but about life stuff and so on.

MOVIES....
Long time no tips, so...
SNOWPIERCER

for series go for:
FARGO (omfg just one of the best)
RICK AND MORTY (crazy great)
ORANGE IS A NEW BLACK
THE STRAIN
well and classics THE BIG BANG THEORY, SUITS, FAMILY GUY that are ongoing.

NOT worth your time - so many new series Gettin disapointed after 3rd/4th episode of almost every post-apo, sci-fi series that are startin lately...sick

I got used to waking up at 8am instead of 12am in a few months. Biggest help was working out so you feel tired and wanna go to bed earlier, and natural light in the morning waking you up. So basically do some cardio workout in the evening and open curtains so the sun wakes you up. :) Dunno about needing great breakfast.. personally I get asleep if I eat something right after waking up. Our job is not physical so I guess some fruits and coffee/tea or best just water is enough. But breakfast thing is just my opinion.. Good luck!

Hey,
am no expert, but coffee in the morning is def not a good idea. There are studies, that in the morning u have enough cortisol level and gettin coffein only increases your tolerance on it plus it leads to higher cortisol elvel in general = stress and so on.
And for breakfast...makes sense that our body needs energy, sugar to work, brain to start...that s why prolly they say we eat like 30% of our daily income of "resources" in the morning..
Working out - yeah...already have some football for evenings, add some squash and it might work, will see...

Anyone has some good stretching video or so? mostly for back but even some general stretching video that seems to work? thx ;)

Hey guys,

am soo interested if this "new beginnin" will be more like "epic failing" or not

Preparations were made...poker wise I should be fine I hope, but morning-wise will see.
I bought fresh-juice-squeeze-robot-w/e-maker, so i can make juice, smoothies and so on. That should get much more vitamins into my body. One small glass in the morning and voila. Also ordered various nuts, dried fruits...breakfast should be easy.

Was thinkin about exercising in the morning, more like stretching, max 30min total and built some program for me - joga style stretchin (mostly coz upper back) for 10mins, dynamic stretchin for 5mins and thn 15min exercise "tabata" style. Might fail the first day, who knows Will do exercise about every other day, stretchin every day and see what happens...My goal isnt reduce weight (not my problem really), am not trying to build some heavy weight muscles neither, just be flexible, fit, healthy (in terms of better imunite system = might be less ill...). U know, heavin child in preschool = so many germs and shit; same goes for my wife as a dentist - meeting looot of ppls mouth....

I ll need to wake up at 7am (or earlier), get daughter ready, bring her to preschool (super close), do my exercise, breakfast, warm-up and should be able to play at 9am...

well... might sound easy for lot of u guys, but...am like a ghost in the mornings

Hey Milan, can share some advices for working out as I do it 3-4 times a week for past 2 months.
Since you are not looking to loose weight nor gain muscle, just to keep in shape and overall health wise feel good, here are couple of work outs that you can do at home for 30 minutes or less. If you can , look for CrossFit in your city and join it - I am sure you will absolutely love it.

Stretch out everything prior to work out(10 minutes max)
Head/neck
Shoulders
Back
Hips
Front and back hamstring
Calves

Once you do this, you can start the actual work out which can consist of 4 very powerful exercises.

- Push ups (hands and shoulders)
- Squats (whole body)
- Stand ups (flexibility)
- Sit ups (abs)

The idea would be to do these things Tabatha style. Since you are aware what that is no need to say it further.
I would maybe do something like this (start lighter then increase sets of course and reps)

1 set of push ups 20 seconds / 10 seconds rest
1 set of Squats 20 second / 10 seconds rest
1 set of Stand ups 20 seconds/ 10 seconds rest
1 set of Sit ups 20 seconds / 10 seconds rest

This is total 2 minutes , 1 set of each. Now since you don't have pull ups here which are awesome exercise and tire you down a lot, you can do multiple sets of this work out.
In your case I would go for minimum 7 sets which is 14 minutes total.

When you get to the point that you are crushing the workout , you can then instead of rest 10 seconds do some cardio like exercise like rope jomp (not possible in apartment)/maybe some cardio bike etc.

I will do doing similar type of work out often in Montenegro when I move now , especially on days when it rains.

Goal is to create workout that will tire you down a lot but not kill you !
You want to enjoy the work out, feel like you have accomplished a lot and pushed boundaries but not to the point that you will hate to try it again next time!

Don't forget after workout to stretch out again and you are done!

All the best and good luck with September new beginning - I will be doing similar thing :)

Hey...

ok so for the exercise...

I did stretch my upper back joga-style; thn stretch my body more dynamic for 5-10mins and thn I did this: (it is pretty intense, I rather slowed down a bit )

- tabata style 5sets, 9 exercises (last set was burn out)
- Mt Climbers x3 + Russian Twist x3
- Burpee x3 + Squat Jacks x3
- Jack Knife Crunch x3 + Back Bow Crossover x3
- Wide Push Up x3 + Supine Push Up x3
(all 20sec on - 10 sec off)
15min

LOL - started in tempo like on video but had to slow down a lot...but I ll get there Glad I somehow finished it...
But good, I feel good

First session over, okish traffic for 14tabling 15s fifty50.
Next one at 8pm or so...
