My current notebook cant handle Elephant or Pokertracker (only 256 MB RAM, etc), I'm planing to buy new notebook so Im wondering which performances should it have to fully support all needed poker software (Elephant/PT, spade eye, etc)?

My computer has 512 mb of ram. Pokertracker works great on it while elephant works good too but is a little slow when I press on the hands tab.
Honestly almost any new notebook will handle it, because most of them have 2gb ram and dual core procesors.
My old NB is 1.7 Celeron with 256MB RAM and I can play 4 tables with Telescope and PT3...
If buying new, look for something with 2+gb ram (4 gb optimal with big Elephant database) and dual core procesor as hrvoje07 said - you can buy great one for $800 without Win&co.
just buy some RAM and you saved a lott of money 
I have a laptop: 1600MHz (not dual or anything) and 512Mb RAM,
it worked good until my database became a bit larger (+600K), so I only buyd 1Gb extra and it runs good
(only my cpu is 100% when I read/analyse a database, but that's ok 4 me since it works)

it depends on database size i think.. mine is ~8 mil hands so 512 MB wouldnt even load more than 1 table with HUD..
Well, I've invested a LOT of money, for my Poker Life (just beguinning), Sony Vaio AW 11Z, 4 GB RAM, 2.5 CPU, 18 inch (resolution of 1900*1080... Lots and lot's of table at once (but for now only play at most 4 tables at same time... But even so, on Party Poker (new software), and PokerTracker running, with new software sometimes it hangs...
In my notebook I have Athlon 64 x2 1.8GHz and I had 1GB RAM when I bought it. Now I have 4GB and it works perfectly with everything I run on it. Also there's 8600M GT graphic card by nVidia. It's very important to have some non integrated GPU if you think to multitable.
And yes, I run Vista.
Can't complain at all, hehe.
