Played a little session before going to sleep - here are the results:

Was on tilt during the last 30 hands or so and therefore lost another BI. Hope lady luck will be on my side soon cause becoming a PLO5 reg is not looking too good if it continues like this... the sessions before were not really better :(

Hi rains,

Sorry to hear about your bad run,
However, playing tilted will only prolong bad runs and minimaze heaters (you mist be sure to play well when the heater comes so you maximize your profits :) )

Therefore, get rid of that tilt and start crushing! :)

Best of luck,
Fran

Yeah you are absolutely right Fran - thx for the kind words. I stopped when I got the feeling that I am on tilt - not playing above my C game and making poor decisions / spewing money.

Today it was better and I hope that there is an upswingig incoming

Played a session in the morning and went to the skatepark then. Then another one and it was going really well :f_biggrin:

Bankroll is now at 125$ :) Just a little bit more to go to hit PLO5 again :f_biggrin:

So far it has been one of the worst months ever pokerwise and lifewise...I went snowboarding and hurt my shoulder really bad. I had to take pain pills and so I did not grind much because they made me sleepy all the time and I could not really concentrate. Worst things of all, I was forced to stay at home and not go to the mountain /skatepark and could not really play poker. It was also very very difficult to concentrate on books or other stuff, so I just kept lying in front of the TV and watch mindless shows all day long and fell asleep every 2 or 3 hours.

It is so boring, but the shoulder gets better which is quite cool. Played a session today and this is the result:

As you can see it's not going good pokerwise too, but what can i do :( I guess there is not much of a chance to hit PLO5 in the near future if things keep going like this.

Didn't really feel the need to update my blog with no pokerstuff and just sad/boring life stuff. Hopefully I can come back with a good update soon.

This month was quite sick!

These were my goals for April:

Goals for April:

- play 40k hands
- maintain silver status at pokerstrategy
- become a PLO5 reg
- revise PLO from scratch (certain parts in particular)
- start reading Advanced PLO Vol. 1 by Jeff Hwang (as recommended in PLO from scratch) -> already bought it
- do more analysis of my own game (mark more hands)
- watch all of Skod's videos (still some left)
- eat healtier!!!
- spend 1 hour everyday with uni stuff (!!!) (forgot about easter break when i posted that goal so I regard it as a fail as well..)
- make a snowboard edit with some friends as the season will be over soon
- study more PLO
- party less / play & study more poker
- update my blog frequently with results / some life stuff maybe confused

I didnt even get close to the 40k hands as my girlfriend was here (lives in Vienna normally) and I almost spend every single day with her as we will only see each other like 3-4 days next month which will give me extra time to play poker. My results have been so lala as I kept running under EV and stuff, but I managed to build my bankroll up again.

Bottom of BR: 95$
Bankroll now: 150$

I managed to win back a lot and ended up in the greens for this month in terms of winnings + I got 25$ bonus on Stars. Now I am rolled for PLO 5 again and hope that I will crush it.

My graph looks pretty poor I guess. I did not really play my A game a lot of the time, but somehow managed to recover towards the end :)

Will post some other stuff / goals soon as I have to go to uni now.

Hey there!

So I have decided to just update my blog 1-2 times a week for a while. I am sitting at university atm and so I cant post a graph or something. It's quite time consuming to sit around all day and basically just do nothing / boring stuff. Somehow my lap top does not connect with the internat at uni so I cant grind during lectures...have to do something about that so that I can play some hands during the boring lessons :f_p:

This month is going pretty fine so far and my BR is growing - really happy about that. I also thought about some goals for May and they are basically the same as for April, except for some minor changes. Hopefully I will manage to add more green lines

I just think about changing 40k hands to "minimum of 30k hands" as I am not so sure that I will be able to do it this month. We will see :)

Hey fellas!!!

Sorry for not updating so long, but I just concentrated on my game and was able to spot some leaks. I played a ton of plo the last couple of days and it went quite well :) Grinded my roll back up to 150 bucks and took a shot at PLO5 (promised myself to stop when i lose 3bi to be able to take a shot again soon). Long story short - played a couple of hundred hands and was 3BI under EV - so back to PLO2...again.

As i talked about leaks I guess the worst leaks are:

- cbetting too much
- wrong cebetting sizing
- playing too aggressive
- some misconceptions about my equity (not daring to shove, not realizing eq)
- bb and sb play - lost waayyyy too much money there
- a bit confused in some spots
- still not really know how to play 2 pair against maniac/aggressive fish :f_confused:

My month went quite well in terms of hands so far, but the outcome is pretty gnarly :f_biggrin: Just want to share my weekly graph with you (month is losing so fad ofc... )

This is 1bi (if even 1bi, dont really know) at PLO5 - rest is PLO2 :f_mad:
EV was going down as it jut tilted me a bit tbh! I am going to set stop/loss limits, even if i am playing well.

Tbh it also annoys me a little bit that I am somehow stuck at PLO2...I mean it is the lowest limit and I am honestly putting in the hours and a lot of effort. I did sweat sessions, joined a study group where we discuss hands, read articles, watch videos on other sides + take notes, try to improve my game and stuff, but somehow it does not really work out.

On the other hand, I am still enjoying that game and do not really tilt I think (always trying to play my A game and improve. I mean, a bit tilt after some results is normal I guess :f_confused: , but I try to get rid of it :)

My main focus is to just impove my game and I do not really care about the money atm! I am playing PLO2 and even if i lose 20BI or something it is not that bad. Better now than later I guess :f_biggrin:

Gl at the tables - hope you run better

It has been quite some days since my last update which was rather painful

The month has been going pretty well so far:

I am rolled for PLO5...again Hopefully this time the shot will be successful. Crossing my fingers and praying to the poker gods for a rungood hehe.

In fact, I am still studying the game (but not as much as I probably should...) and have conquered new possibilites to improve my PLO. I am now proud member of a really nice study group! We do a lot of hand analysis which helps me quite a lot (equity calculations, talking about certain lines, creating what if examples...). Ofc, sometimes a sweat session here and there - in a nutshell it's great fun to finally have found some people to talk about poker!!! :)

Maybe I am going to update more frequently again... we will see! Surely gonna post about my PLO5 shot, wish me luck :f_biggrin:

edit: wron graph :f_p:

Hey guys :)

Just wanted to make a quick blog update as we are more than half way through the month :f_p:

First of all, this time my PLO5 shot was successful :f_biggrin:
It's insane how much more money you can win if you play one limit higher - also the VPP pace is going way faster hehe - feels really good

Here is the graph of this month so far:

First three digit month :)

Gonna make a more detailed update at the end of the month I guess as I dont have so much time right now. Just thought that a quick update of my blog would be nice.

Do you, by any chance, mix ante PLO2 tables in? If so, you're gonna have another 3-digit month in July 'cause I'm coming at you (likely) :f_biggrin:

Congrats on the great job!
