How to start MTT?

As far as rooms go, that is up to you. If you want to play 3-4 hour MTTs then ipoker is probably best. If you want longer MTTs then Stars is good. You can also play the 180 man MTTs on stars, they go all day long and are a great way to learn as they have cheap buy-ins as well and they take 3-4 hours to play.
Starting small and playing 1-table STTs until you get the hang of positional play is always good. They are a great way to build a bankroll as well (as long as you are winning) as MTTs are very swingy.

Stars also has a poker school full of quizzes and so does Everest (ipoker network)

Ask a lot of questions. Search through the blogging section and look for blogs by people starting out in MTTs. Start your own blog. This is a great way to find other people in the same position as you.

And above all, take in the strategy and videos.

Just thought of this.
Another good site to play on if you are starting out is PKR.
Because PKR has 3D capabilities (I play the light version of 2D myself) it tend to attract a different kind of poker player. One that is more a gamer then poker player at heart.
Also because the site is smaller the fields tend to be softer.
They have a poker school as well.
The one thing I do not like about PKR and I play on there a couple times a week is their loyalty program does not allow you to turn your points earned into cash. You can however buy tournament tickets with them or if you play long enough you could even trade them in for a Lamborghini.
Above all else please take Lazza61's advise and ask as many questions as you can think of. Read as much about the game as you can find and practice, practice, practice.

I think the kill everyone book assumes that you are already familiar with the way rising blinds, inflection points and other situations only present in tourneys affect our play and ranges.

I play Midstakes MTTs for living.

Best advice I can give you:

1) Set clear goals. (I could talk hour about this, but I just recommend you to watch videos about the subject.)

2) Get some private coaching. (you don't have to reinvent the wheel.)

3) Get close to right people. (Nothing is more important than having friends with same goals and interests.)

4) Join into studygroup. (If you can. There's a lot of value in this. Not just reviewing hands, but that you're actually a group that works together. You will congratulate each other for success and support each other when in a downswing.)

5) Don't just study poker.

(You should focus to improve as person and as entrepreneur. Even tho you would have Phil Iveys skillset, it doesn't guarantee success.

You need to learn how to not tilt. You need to learn how to work hard, but also how to work smart. You have to learn how to handle stress and live a happy life, because poker can be very depressing some times. Money isn't worth it if you're not happy. There's lot of stuff that can be useful, but you don't find it in the pokerforums or strategyvideos. Be creative and use your imagination and you see the full picture.)

6) Grind, grind, grind!

(Success in MTTs comes from the grind. Even tho the studying is really import, MTT is very simple. You will learn most of the stuff just by making same mistakes over and over again and analyzing afterwards. That's why you should just play a lot and get privatecoaching every now and then instead of reading 1000 poker books and spending 1000 hours in livecoachings. You will learn the most by doing the mistakes yourself.)

- I have money in 12 sites and in each session I use at least 8 of them. Really depends on the day. If you play small stakes I recommend you to avoid pokerstars and play small field tournaments (less than 300 players) buy-ins lower than 22$ freezeout, 11d rebuy. Very easy way to build a bankroll no need to play 180mans or any other SNG forms. You will probably need at least 1k$ to start tho. In long term you want to add big field tournaments like big, hot tournaments in pokerstars, but you need a lot of bankroll. When you have 1000 ABIs you can play pretty much anything you want.

I was looking for the same type of info and found a series on this at Gripsed on you tube. The guy has a 10 part series on MTTs. they were really helpful to me. I would appreciate anything you find that you could send my way. I am new to this site are we allowed to give our E-mail accts to each other in order to help one another?

The "Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time" series of books are great, and the only books I've read so far (and I've read a lot of books) that are relevant to todays online game.

They're a trilogy now, though I haven't read the last book (it's in the mail now!). Seriously, get these books. They are the only MTT books I recommend anymore.

You chose correctly, actually cash tables are harder than MTTs, but be careful with these last ones, you have to be so serious managing your bankroll and have a lot of patience, variance is insane

if you can exchange points for tournament tickets, then is teh same as getting money for the points , because you can register for tournaments with the tickets instead of using your $$$ balance, and when you win in tournaments those money will get in your $$ balance
