guys, this will be stupid question.. but i'm player from Czech Republic and now i dunno what tournament I should choose when choosing pokerstrategy freeroll - english or polish or... ? Or I won't be able to play any of these tournaments..
Hi Paul, welcome to PokerStrategy.
I'm not entirely sure (Soy will confirm for you), but think it depends which community you originally signed up to.... i.e. the Language you chose when first registering with PokerStrategy.
Hopefully someone will confirm to you for certain before the next game on Wednesday.

Gee, FrozenRope managed to get a 3-point lead by sitting out in the second tournament after building up an early lead, and after he dropped out before me in the first one...
Well done, mate. If you get the last spot in the freeroll because of this lame move, you can be really proud of yourself... 
Sorry it was not my strategy as you put it. I have 3 teenaged boys and one was in trouble at his school, I had to go and pick him up. from the school office. No need to slam others in the forum in fun or not if you don't know the circumstances. Coming from a Moderator you should be ashamed of yourself.
As for being knocked out in the other tourney before you yes, another player made a great allin shove with J9o preflop and I happened to call with AKs and lost or well that"s poker I guess.
Out of curiosity if someone were to get lucky enough to qualify for the final, Has a date and time been set?

This has nothing to do with my status, at all. Everybody can see that you're on 18th position, I am on 19th. The User status is completely irrelevant.
Here's the whole situation from MY point of view, as a normal guy:
It was just a strange coincidence that you began to sit out 2 minutes after I got busted in the second tourney, and after you built up a big stack. Maybe you had a reason, maybe not. Maybe you might have even won the whole thing if you hadn't sat out and I'd have to catch an even bigger gap to reach rank 18. But fact of the matter is that you were on Sitout and let yourself blind out. I know it's a common tactic nowadays in online tournaments, heck I even wrote a news about a real major where it happened, but that guy had at least a good excuse with his emergency surgery.
Yeah, I didn't know the circumstances, and who knows if it's even true or not. All I know is what I stated. The status doesn't matter, it wouldn't even have mattered if I had been a Basic and you the PS.com big boss. It's a lame way to win, or in this case get the final spot in the freeroll.
In any case, sorry if I hurt your feelings. But I do have some as well. You are right, I am sorry for the comment. I was in a bad mood and let it get to me. Considering the circumstances, I think it's understandable, however.

Well I have played all but the first freeroll as I returned home from work after 2pm the starting time. I live in Canada and I work to 2pm everyday, it is extremely hard for me to make these tournys on time and get registered. I rush home and leave work early just to make it. I'm a 38 year old mother of 3 boys who has other responsiblities I'm in 18th not because of 1 tournament as you are in 19 not because of 1 tournament either. If either of us have played better in previous events this wouldn't be any issuse at all.
If I don't make the final thats life, I will continue to work on other parts of my game. I did take offence to your comments as you are questioning my character. I apperciate that you apologized and stepped down as a mod, as you're a representitive of PS.
We should all be thankfull for PS giving the community the oppurtunity to compete with each other. We all can't be winners, someone has to loose. If this means that much to you If we end up 18th and 19th place after next tournament you can have my spot. We both still have the chance with a good placing to jump many places and possibly make the final 8, unlikely but possible.
@Frozen: Like I said, I don't know who you are, what reasons you had for doing what you did. I just saw it from my point of view: I'm trailing by 1 point only for the final spot in the freeroll, you drop out first and I finally have the chance to catch up or maybe even get in front.
Then I get crippled in the second tourney due to a bad suckout on the river for the other guy, a couple of hands later I'm out. I've had your table open all the time, and then out of the blue, you switch to "Sitout" after I dropped out for no apparent reason. Maybe you said something in the chat about leaving, maybe not. I don't know because I had it disabled for your table.
It's understandable that I feel cheated then, especially after the original 8th tournament wasn't counted, the one I won after all against an active final table. With this win, I would have had my spot in the freeroll, no matter what, and I couldn't have cared less about you sitting out or not. Actually, I would have been glad if you had made it as 18th then (since I'd have been in anyway), or I would have given you my 18th spot if you had finished 19th because of 1-2 points.
I just felt cheated twice, and so I spoke my mind, as the guy, not the Moderator. If you read my blog, you probably also know that I'm a misanthrope. Yes, I was sarcastic, but I definitely didn't flame against you like someone else implied. Trust me, if I had started to flame, things would have gotten really ugly. I'm a Flame Master. 
Anyway, I don't know why you dragged my (previous) status into this, but you probably did me a favour in the end. And I will definitely not give up. Poker is a competitive game after all. That 18th spot is mine! Ha! ♦

On a more serious note (if I can break the habit of a lifetime).
Think this weeks last tourney is going to be very interesting. More than ever before, different people will be on all kinds of different strategies (not to mention those who don't make the start in time for work/family/other pressures).
Take me for example, similar to a large number of players, only real hope of qualifying is through winning this weeks tourney and going through to the lucky losers playoff. It's not my usual style to win or bust, but hey needs must.
So with some on a "Win or bust" strategy, against others who need to stay alive as deep as possible to preserve points, against others who need to score lots of points to overhaul a couple of places...... hmmmm very interesting.
Not to mention of course, the handful of "Guests" that seem to join us but aren't members of the community. These can be very volatile with nothing to lose and could just change everything.
Above all else, enjoy, have fun & lets celebrate the league after it's done and hope that the nice Mr Soy will do another real soon.

Maybe in the future events Soy can do something about all the sitouts, that sitout and gain points. I have had plenty of tables with players sitting out. I was only sitting out for less than 15 min I came back and still had chips to play with I didn't blind out as you say.
This is supposed to be a fun community event, it is a freeroll for god sake win or loose enjoy this event . Or future events may not be held.
Your fate is in your own hands don't let others decide your fate, just win the next one and stop looking to pass blame onto others.
As far as doing you a favor, your most certainly correct, being a moderator is a thankless job, it takes up your time and efforts to help others with not much in return. I respect everyone and only ask for the same in return. Thanks for putting in your time to help this community grow to what it is. That alone deserves much respect.
