The problem with doing something against sit-outs is that you would actually have to determine which player sat out from beginning to end, without ever actually having shown up at all, and even then it is questionable. Although it is a bit more extreme at Titan due to there being no antes or auto-folding from people who are sitting out when all-in - a player on sitout will never ever win a tournament. He just bleeds away chips and will never progress past the middle stage. It is therefore problematic to start punishing people whose internet might have died in the middle of the tournament, or who urgently needed to go somewhere - just because they started giving away free chips. (In such a League it is of course problematic - but imo easier to do nothing - than actually trying to enforce rules that might lead to unfair decisions).
Its good to see you that you stand above the silly accusations, even though that hasn't kept me from forcing him to decide whether he wants to retain his status or not.
On a side note: I personally think, aside from the accusation being totally inappropriate, that the point Drakhor brings up about Irish going on sitout, is silly and stupid as the sitout has nothing to do with her 18th or his 19th place. Even if Irish had been physically present at the PC at the time she could have folded 100% of her hands and gotten the same result she did as while being on sitout. Is playing extremely tight suddenly cheating? Should I consider people who fold AK or KK or AA in tournament dirty lamers who cheat themselves further by being tighter than common sense allows?
Is a person who next week wants to get as far as possible and folds everything except for AA, or maybe even that as well, cheating themselves into a freeroll? No. They are playing the strategy they think will work best for them. Just as it is possible that folding aces in a satellite can be +$EV - everyone should have the right to follow the strategy of their choosing.
