^^ GG
Even though I dont play Mtts I really wanna see those videos!
wooooow pleno1 crushes again
not surprised at all GG. Can't wait for the MTT video
Good day, went to football, played very good, felt great, scored great goal.
Came home, came 5th in the 215 20k for $3.5k and then won the trex for $7.3k giving me p5 points and the trex avatar and had some other decent cashes too.
Very happy with all of that.
I think the trex is the best I've ever played in a tournament from start to finish, was just so tuned in and really happy with everything right now.
Ingrid comes tomorrow, we train together with my personal trainer and get dinner and then she goes to Sweden for a wedding so I'll be chilling with the dogs more for the next week so may grind a bit more now too.
oh just realised it was a triple crown with the .fr hot 100 anf the bigger 162 on Sunday. Wow didnt even know ♦

I predicted this
It was only a matter of time. Gratz
Somebody on another forum asked some questions about transitioning to tournaments and how it feels to play them etc and then about making more videos.
Thing is with cash games IMO you should never have a losing month really. People disagree, but IMO variance is misinterpretated and usually during any downswing you're doing something seriously wrong. Again you can disagree all you want, but having 2 losing months in a row in cash games is IMO very very hard to do if you're beating the games as you should be.
The positives with tournaments though is you can have a huge bink, win life changing money, be mroe excited about deep runs and if you have an ego let that go to wherever you want, challenge the world etc etc.
Some people asked for some hands, will just post the last 5 hands or so that I've boomed, don't know what they are but will look now..

Interesting one, around 15 from the bubble, if he is inducing then he would make it smaller imo, my 3bet pre is pretty standard, anything else would be a big leak imo. Once he uses this sizing rather than say 14222 I think piling is the best option he is either bluffing (hoping I don't peel) or has AK and is scared I'll peel. Q3 does fine vs AK and even AK probably sizes smaller.

This hand I think is a mistake. It's very, very close though. Villain is a tightish nitty reg who is fearful of me bluffing (thinks i have crazy style) so doesnt want to 4bet a hand that he mayhave to fold like JJ/TT, when he calls the flop multiway, he always always has 99-JJ, I'm almost certain in this specific spot he 4bets aa/kk. On the turn I can c/call, c/shove, jam or bet. All are super valid options, but I just thought that in game as I was playing like 44/28/15 he just wouldnt be able to fold the range he definitely has. He tank folded which is unfortunate, but when I cbet into this amount of people on the flop it does look indeed strong when i jam the turn. This is how you find good new lines though, in the future if its like this I now know its probably a good bluffing line, so just from looking over the hand even if I make a slightly sub-optimal play, I can potentially learn from it.

Interesting spot pre IMO. Not for me obv, but I'm wondering if he can just r/c instead or if I'm just so likely to peel a bunch a8 doesnt have that much playability so I think jamming may just be ok. What do you think is the best option for him vs me? I'm very unlikely to fold vs small raise fwiw.

My favourite hand of the month. Against a friend of mine who lives in Budapest. On the river it would KILL him to call it off knowing I have jx. Part of outplaying your friends is not making terrible river stations against them when its quite obvious they have it, so I tried to go one level ahead, pretty fun one. I also get him to fold failed triple barrels with q/k high etc too.

interesting instincts check otr with really aggro dynamic
Really unsure about what to do regarding videos moving forward. I will still make some for PokerStrategy now and again and special series but I'm thinking about going over 10 hhs that I've won/gone deep in this year and then selling them all together seperately. I would do them all first and then start selling rather than the other way round like I did it last time, just it would be really easy for people to scam me and sell them around for cheaper like how I got fucked last time. Would maybe just need a small signing saying they are legally obliged to pay 10k if they sell the videos or distribute them or something. I think thats fair?
I'm really bad at pricing, what would you say would be fair for the following:
1- Anniversary Sunday Million 9th/50k (chip leader most of tournament, mid stack on final two table, sick icm spots late, lots of deep stack play early)
2- Sunday Warm Up, chopped 1st/2k (mid stack most of tournament, disciplined grinding with very aggresive play on final table including biggest bluff I've ever made)
3- Bigger 162 1/2000 (most recent big win, very aggressive play throughout)
4- Bigger 109 1/4000? (cant remember exact details, sure its interesting, would give more insight when I go over again ldo)
5- Bigger 162 1/2000 (cant remember exact details, sure its interesting, would give more insight when I go over again ldo)
6- SCOOP 10K 20/2000? (toughest online mtt I've played, faraz jaka, Ivey, isildur, gruissem, igor kurkakov? etc all appear)
7- SCOOP 215cubed 5th/2000? (very deep stacked MTT, ultra aggressive last 3 tables, had to sit tight to ladder, lots of thoughts on other play, Lauris90 in particular confirmed ballistic
8/9 100r Late sunday wins, incredibly tough fields, finals, lots of HU play
10/11/12 Trex 1,2,3 one of which is the best I feel I've played in a tournament
13 - 22c 1/1500? (dealing with smaller stakes, adjustments to make)
14/15/16/17/18/19 (6max tournaments, cash game specialist advice for tournaments including chops/wins/finals of 250 .fr, 162 Sunday
20 - 109cubed turbo, looking into high stakes turbos and mistakes I and others make
All of these tournaments are super current, all from the last 6 months and would speak about todays tendencies. The plan would be to do them all and then have full info in detail about each one individually with maybe 5 min clips of each that people could watch.
What do you think would be a fair amount to charge for these?

very true except that a month's volume varies hugely. on average I would say that having a 15BI+ downswing is more than just variance.
Interesting statement as on a high roller stream earlier this year (dont recall if it was pca or monaco) Isaac Haxton and another guy (cant recall who) had an interesting discussion about variance and all that. Ike said that everybody underestimates variance and how long it can exactly take to get to the long term. Now you say everybody overvalues it?
Pleno, qratz on everything you won and more of good run for future
Very nice and impressive.
I think variance is overvalued too. I mean. How can variance predict our game, results ? How can be that calculated ? If every hand we play depends on so many circumstances.
It is all up to you in the end. Just look at dusty, who made millions in years in cash games, while not having even 1 single losing month. Just beat the game, beat the variance

grats
Kinda annoying/weird Sunday.
Made 3 questionable jams and I. All three spots I busted.
Hand 1- I'm 4/5 with 3 ept seats and already 1k euro locked up. 1/5 opens and I jam 35 bigs with aq. I thought he wouldn't want to call off any big portion of his stack as he's guaranteed a seat but he did show down 75s when he opened so I piled aq. I mean it's probably ok just annoying he had kk
Hand 2- I'm 3/17 in 635 on full tilt. 1/17 has 3bet me 6 out of my 8 opens he 3bets me again and I jammed 40 bigs with at. Any option is close here but again he had kk haha
Hand 3- I'm 12/17 in the Sunday warm up. Nit redfish who is tight but opens a lot in late position opens the cut off on my bb and I tank and jam k8o for 17 bb she had 19 so it was his tournament life too and this is a big tournament etc. he took 20 seconds or so and called aj. Still feels like the right play so not too worried.
Some deep runs tonight anyway, feeling good. Finished with too tl5 stack in the winamax main event too when we come back on Tuesday so will be playing a full schedule then.
Was really nice to be away with the dogs and Ingrid for last few days Szeged is just so so different to budapest. There's really nothing there but it's kinda nice for that reason too.
Approached today pretty good actually went to the gym and did a small session and then steam room/jacuzzi before I played etc. kinda liked that and will probably do the same moving forward whenever time allows. Go to Barcelona next Monday so looking forward to playing Tuesday/Saturday/Sunday this week.
I play mainly higher stakes, so unfortunately not.
I may do a series to selll at a later date.
