First week is in the books!

After a slightly hectic start the first week of streaming on Twitch is now in the books. In the beginning I had a lot of trouble getting the stream to run without any lag, but after many hours watching YouTube videos on how to set up a proper stream it is now (fingers crossed) running without any lag.

Secondly, I had to figure out what games I would be focusing on. After playing some scheduled tournaments I realized that they are too high variance with a starting bankroll of only $50, so I decided to make the 45 man MTTSNG’s (plus the occasional $0,55 tournament) my main game for now until I reach around $100 and the I will be able to add in more scheduled tournaments with bigger money up top and still keep some MTTSNG’s on the side.

In the past I have played a good amount of 45 man MTTSNG’s (725+ this year) with a 30% ROI, so I almost expected to just jump into the games and start crushing, but I quickly realized how rusty my ranges for this format is, so I have bought a subscription for Holdemresources to study <20bb pre-flop ranges and toward the end of the week I have felt more secure in those spots, but I still find myself guessing in many situations, so I still have a lot to work on.

Now with all that out of the way we can get to the results of the week. It has not been a great week result wise, but still a winning week, so I guess can’t complain too much. For the week I am up $11,73.

How it's going the last couple of weeks with your challenge?
The start looks well

Streaming have gone way better than I could possibly have hoped for. I already reached the required amount of followers to become an affiliate, just need to increase my average amount of viewers slightly. I have also gotten a few regular viewers who usually come by and hangout for a while I play and will play in a bunch of the games I play. Overall the twitch poker community have just been really kind and welcoming!

Result wise it really haven't been anything to brag about. I have managed to get the starting bankroll of $50 up to ~$120 in about 1,5 month, despite feeling like I have ran a good bit below EV. I have been working a bunch on my game and also plan on doing some study/review streams in the near future.

Graph is not looking too shabby though..

Also just adding a breakdown of my win rate. Running good in EVbb and below in chipEV is a pretty good indicator of running good in early stage and bad in late stage (compare this to the breakdown in the OP where I ran really good in the late stage of MTT's).

It's still a small sample, but a profit is a profit

Been wanting to do a write up of last months results, might be getting it done this weekend. For now just a little brag about finally taking down a MTT after having mixed success in the the past couple of months.

September was by no means a month to write home about, but I still want to do a write-up of the results at the tables, progress away from the table, progress on twitch and what else has been going on in my life this past month.

After a slow start to the challenge in August I decided early on in September that I wanted to mix in more MTT's to try to get ahead. Spoiler.. not a good idea.. On one Sunday I managed to take the bankroll from ~$120 down to ~$80, which felt completely devastating considering I just spent the last 1,5 month getting from $50 up to $120. All there was left to do now was to take responsibility of the bad decisions I had made and get back on the grind.

It really felt like a wake up call to me, because the very next day I signed up for a training site and started banging out videos and running through all the concepts that was shown in said videos. The amount of time I spent studying last month lead to much less time grinding and streaming, but I'm confident it was the right decision as I now feel much more confident in my game and I'm much more aware of where my weaknesses lie so that I can keep working on them and keep getting better!

Aside from playing and studying the game I also started back in college in September after three months of holidays, which was a big change from having no set schedule to now having to get up early and go to school in the morning. Not gonna spend too much time on this subject here, but it is definitely nice to be back on a set schedule which did take me some time to get used to.

Jumping back to the results as you can see in the breakdown below the results really haven't been impressive at all. I'm pretty happy about my results in SNG's, but MTT's pretty much killed the month for me as you can see.

For those interested in Twitch I will include the stats below. As I mentioned I haven't been playing much and been inconsistent, so I made very little progress on Twitch this month, but I have had to prioritize what I feel will have the biggest impact for me in the future and that has not been to play and stream.
