I cbet the flop for protection/value from hands like 99/88 that he decides to float and from hands like AsX KsX. What should i do on the turn? i dont really think i have value but also im not sure if i cant bluffcatch the turn. What should i do?

he may not call and by betting here against his range we isolate against the better hands so its better to check/call here and then check fold river. he could be betting some naked spade draw or a worse pair with/without a spade.
