It's very difficult to earn money in the long term with the "short term" trading strategy (ie. day trading and swing trading).

Don't forgett when you exchange a financial product, 1 buy = 1 sale

Who are the main stakeholders on the financial markets ?
Banks and Asset Management Funds.

And one person cannot have more information about the market than a bank with an armee of professional traders.

The different advertising about the technical analysis to earn money on the financial markets (in particular on the forex) are a scam.

Hi ! I am a decent poker player and I started to understand a lot about the game over the years playing on all kind of platforms and all kind of game types.

However, I see that you are a professional trader and it just made me curious:

- story begins -

A couple of years ago I was in a professional break between two jobs ( I am working in the casino business ) and I had a friend who introduced me to the world of trading. I was curious to understand how it goes and I signed up for a course of trading ( a payed course btw ). I had to go there for about a month, 5 days per week with other people but I noticed how the professor was answering question evasively and she wasn't sure about what she was answering. However the company was something like pokerstrategy.com: they were teaching you how to trade on their platform and you were paying something like 5% for every transaction. I've also got a book from this company written by the manager ( which I've read 3 times ). So I know the basics and I have the discipline:

My question to you is simple:

By knowing the basics of this business, as a freelancer, can I turn a constant profit out of trading? Thank you !

I believe trading can be profitable but it also requires lots of discipline and proper bankroll. There are setups that the markets produce that are high probability setups. Similar to poker pocket aces would be the high probability set up but it does not mean your going to win. The high probability setup produce an edge over the long run.(100 trades). The set up I am talking about are pin bars and engulfing bars at support and resistance levels. I am currently trading on a demo account at fxcm and I am making a profit. I also purchased a course call "Forex school online" The course contains about 500 pages of instructions along with a huge community of trader such like this community here. This course teaches you to read the raw charts and find price action. Most of the members in the course are all also turn a nice profit year after year. My plan was to trade the demo account until I am done at university. Once I'm making g decent money I was going to load a live account.

Dont get me wrong I love poker but I am always trying to find away to make some money.

Poker is a family of card games involving betting and individual play, whereby the winner is determined by the ranks and combinations of their cards.but trading is the investment which is done in market for profits...
