I've been away from poker for quite a few weeks now. My motivation to grind unfortunately disappeared somewhere along the way.

I've come to realise that alot of my motivation comes from progressing through stakes and by that building a nice bankroll. For some reason i never had the dedication and more important the confidence to break into 8$ 180 mans. I was too nitty about my bankroll and therefore spent to much time at 2.50$ games. i believe this is what took my motivation away from me.

From this point i will try to consider onlinepoker as a videogame. I will start from scratch and work my way through the levels in order to compete against tougher oppenents. I left 50$ in my account and will start with 100 buy ins for the .50$ 45/90/180 mans on Stars. Everytime i reach 100 buy ins for a new level i will put these games into the mix (probably 200 buy ins at 7$+). I will try to mix buy ins in order for me to get better at ignoring the "dollar factor" during a session.

I will start "small" be caling this a 50$ - 2500$ challenge!

My only goals at this point is:

- only play when i feel like it
- Keep the blog running (even during bad times)

First 2 sessions done!
i havent been able to get action enough to have 24+ tbls running :/ therefore ive played arround 16 tbls on avg. im alrdy looking forward to mixing stakes in order to have more games running

Another day with a minor profit

I'm surprised by my slow progress - I kinda expected to just jump through the .50$ games.

To be fair i have been running on the cold side for the first couple of hundred SNGs. Combined with the fact that i havent been able to load up as many tbls as i would like, i'm problably gonna spent a few more hours at these stakes than i would have hoped. On the plus side im happy about grinding again, and atm im looking forward to every single session

Here's my first 500ish game update:

Thoughts on the games:
These 0.50$ games are ridiculously soft. They basicly contain 50%+ maniacs who basicly plays bingo untill they run out of chips. Theres surprisingly many regs, but with the maniacs you dont really have to get into any regbattles untill its just a matter of ICM. Speaking of ICM i think only a minority of the players at these stakes ever heard of it. all in all - if you are willing to play these microstakes, and have the patience to grind it out there's definately money to be made here!

Thoughts of my game:
Unfortunately i dont think these games are doing anything good for training my preflop ranges. I know for a fact that im missing NASH reshove spots because of it being easy to pick up chips in other spots. I'm looking forward to bigger stakes where i can't afford to miss out on these spots. Other than that i rly like to get into grinding again.

As my graph and status will show i havent been whining for no reason... I've been running quite bad (remember VERY few spots are 100bb deeb and therefore the gap in EV in the BB graph is BIIIG)

Just finished todays session with a "YAY feeling"!

Overall i ran pretty well and i managed to win a 360 man .50$ SNG for a staggering 33.29$

This means i crossed the 100$ mark and will move up and include 1$ games in my schedule!

Even though i ran decent today i still manage to loose flips in the most brutal ways you can imagine... :/ (on a side note: i lost in similar fashion yesterday but forgot to mark the hand in order to post it)

I've struggled with motivation again - thus the break from poker and this blog.

I felt like playing today and logged a few tournaments. I'm trying out playing stacked instead of my strange tile system. It worked fine today but im looking at to many bustouts instead of focusing on my game... I think im gonna keep playing stacked though!

Made a nice profit today and im ready to hit the 1$ games again this weekend!

@ Lazza: yea my dream as well. hoping to put as many pokersession in as possible (travelling with GF so not entirely a pokertrip)

I'm omw to the airport right now! 4 nights in LA, 5 in San Francisco before driving to vegas im not gonna post a trip report, but hopefully i have some gr8 stories from vegas to share - and hopefully some nice pictures of big stacks!

Back from a great vacation - Vegas was a blast although i wasn't able to capitalize on one of the softest livegames i've ever played (More stories on that later on).

Im super excited to put in a ton of volume online and i'm hoping to move further up in stakes the next few weeks! Today i played a 100+ SNG session and i hope to put in a few of these every week!

I'm 3742 vpps short of releasing the next stellar reward and thats definately my goal of the year!
