Villain is a reg, on the aggressive side. 3bet 11% total so far, 1/2 times BvB before this hand. Cbets a ton in SRP (79%), 42% (5/12) so far in 3b pots. He also seems to raise both flops and turns very aggressively. Has given turn bets decent respect though so far.
Flop I was check/folding with bare bottom OESD, but villain gives us a pretty nice turn card for free. Betting can't be too bad with no SDV, plenty of outs and nice barrel opportunities OTR. Check/raising could make sense as well though, and I'm not sure which would be better. Strong opinions on this one?
Getting raised kind of surprised me here as I thought he'd bet most of his really strong hands OTF for value/to protect on such a dynamic texture. He could have some mediocre Jxxx/Txxx that ran into a two pair, or a similar hand that made the flush draw and decided to go for FEQ/doesn't want to call. I have no idea if people play (and also if they should play) something like bare-ish AA this way to protect/charge draws. In any case I don't expect to have much fold eq after he pots it, and the hand isn't strong enough to go with against reasonable ranges. Can I peel a river though?
I was planning on donkbluffing diamonds as I doubt he has a ton of those (not many weaker diamonds raise turn, and Add/Kdd hands strong enough to raise turn prob bet flop somewhat often?) while I rep them credibly. Could also donk a 4 and maybe a 7 for value as most of the stuff still missed on those cards so he could bluffcatch with hands that check back. A queen and especially clubs would be a bit iffy and probably have to start with a check. Looking back, I might be dominated somewhat often especially on clubs, which are a significant part of my outs. Thoughts?
