First tournament played this morning:

Need to develop a more aggressive style as I fold way too much in SB position when HU.

BR now $219. Prior to Friday was struggling to maintain a $4 BR to play my matches against Skeep729 and VorpalF2F

I don't have any poker tools other than equilab to check ranges etc. Don't have any graphs to post.

Will continue posting here in the beginner section as I am still a beginner

Yes everyone is sending pic of the crash all over. Luckly I was in gauteng south court this morning and was unaffected. That part of the highway between camaro and gillooly's is very dangerous. Aout ten years ago we had a similar insident with a truck and 26 cars just in front of the ppc.

Look at this hand I got, I was BB and the UTG+1 raises to 2BB and MP flat calls so I limp in for another 1BB with 68s, I took down the pot but the verbal abuse I received was deafening.
Personally if I get QQ I am going to raise at least 3 to 4 BB knowing that this is a Turbo touny and people are going all in with Kx all the time.

Are you sure that it is you that they were calling a fish?

You had superb odds (160 to win 880) to enter that pot, and it is easy to get away from if you miss.
Part of the reason 4BB open raises were once the norm is because raising that large meant BB did not have good odds to enter the pot.
A min-raise and a call give you 5.5:1, and almost any hand has 20% equity vs two others.

Just for the fun of it, I put some ranges into Equilab:

       Equity     Win     Tie
MP2    35.12%  33.62%   1.50% { 77+, A9s+, KTs+, QTs+, AJo+, KQo }
MP3    40.95%  39.44%   1.51% { 88+, ATs+, KTs+, AQo+ }
BB     23.93%  23.77%   0.16% { 8s6s }

Also MP should have raised -- had he done so, he would have won the pot at that point, since you would have folded your 68s pre facing a 3Bet.

MP let you in and paid the price.

anyway - I would have folded 68s here after the utg raise (maybe I am the fish) and get crazy after seeing the flop -

Toyer, I know how nice it is to have suddenly a decent Bankroll. Keep in mind that a good portion of your progress and success depends on a good BR Management.

I can't find in this moment the strategy article to this subject..
I would always suggest at least 100 to 150 BI's for SnG's and Mtt's as well - anyway: 5$ SnG's is compared to your new BR a bit to much (just a suggestion..)

Thanks for the advice, yeah I know $5 is a bit high, I just took a stab at it as it was mid afternoon and there were not lots of tables available on the $1 iPops I play.

Will not attempt it again until I have the BR to compensate for it - wayyy to scary ♠_cry:

Berating another player at the table says more about you than the other player. Good players want others to play bad. Bad players want others to play good as defined by their preconcieved ideas.

Strange to find both berating you.I find myself asking why the non injured player is so upset.

The hand as played was possibly a bit wide considering the stack (30bb) but by no means shocking. If we know they have over pairs in their range and they are always stacking off the the call is very good.

It has been a bit all over the place because I was trying to see what I enjoy:

So I started playing NL4 cash tables without any success, I accidentally clicked on Nl10 one time and had a good run winning about 4BI's.
After that it was all downhill on the cash tables.

I then tried SnG's .50c and 1Euro tables cashing in about 1 out of 5 times.

So now I am back to playing 1 to 2 Euro Tournaments as I think my play more suited to tournaments.

There is a site here in South Africa I play on as well, don't know if I can mention it so I won't, had a good run there in tournaments last week with wins of over $300 starting off with a cash in a freeroll last Monday. For someone who is unemployed that is a large amount of money so I withdrew it, tonight I will play the freeroll again and see if I can replicate last weeks success.
