I don't understand why 4betting 22-55 as bluff range, it only makes sense if you are shoving it for value, if you are going to 3bet/fold 22-55 there is more ev in calling them.
And about being exploited, I'm pretty sure people would 3bet you lighter if you are opening a wider range and fold a lot to 3bet, but I don't see them exploiting it enough to make you lose that much money.
There is this 'concept' that when I started to think like that I got a lot better in 3bet wars, cause I've been leveling myself too much. Thinking that someone is widening theri blufff range against you is different than knowing someone is widening their bluff range against you.
Like sometimes like there is an donk that limps MP, you are at CO and you raise to isolate and play the fish HU. Than there is this 7% 3bet reg on the blinds that 3bet you, so you go like "c'mon, this guy knows I raise limpers like 30% of the time and that I fold a lot to 3bets, this is a perfect spot for him to 3bet me light, you know what ? im gonna 4bet this mtfkr", and you 4bet and he shoves.
Same goes the other way, lets say there is this reg at CO with 70% fold to 3bet and 4% 4bet range that raises to isolate the fish. So you go "wow, this lag guy have like 30% raise limpers, I have Ac5c and theyre so beautiful I'm gonna 3bet this mtfkr cause his range is wide and weak here". a fair thought, everything going great.
So you 3bet, fish folds and the guy 4bets you, than you start like "c'mon mtfkr, you didn't do it, did you ? he knows that I know this is a awesome spot to 3bet him and sees that I have like 10% 3bet, this mtfkr has a 4,5% 4bet range, so fold to my SHOVE mtfkrrrrrr" and you get called by AK.
Both hands you played looking only at stats and not taking into account the actions and the history taking place on that same table.
Always try to check if a reg overall stat is different from the stats he got at that table (on HM is double clickling the hud window), most regs that I see shifting their pré flop game acording to the tables are winning.
My case as exemple, on my stats I'm running 30/23 with 8% 3bet, but I'm 'never' playin like that, this is a mix of sometimes playin 36/28 on tables with a passive fish on my right and TAGs on my left, with other tables that I run 18/14 with a player most like you on my left, to playing like 25/21 on tables full with 'standard' NL20 regs.
My 3bet % is also tricky, I think I 3bet A LOT to be only 8%, but I also like to seat select, so on most tables that I have fish on my right my 3bet % would be like 6%, on the other side playing tables that I have position on regs that fold a lot I usually 3bet a lot, enough to be exploitable like 14%, but as it is difficult to play more than like 100 hands on a same table on ipoker cause tables are always breaking and regs come and go only the better regs realize this on time to counter it, I might 3bet them a lot and, even though they still might 4bet me sometimes, they do it on the same rate they usualy does agains a 8% 3bettor, they don't go crazy on that.
Sorry for my English cause, as you might have noticed by now, it is not my first language. If there is something I said that is not clear enough ask me and I try to explain better.
Also I'm trying to set up a skype group for ppl that grinds on ipoker so we could talk about specific regs, their play and how to counter it. I tried to do it on the Brazilian community but it seems like everyone plays pokerstars there, so now I'm thinking it might be easier within the english language comunity. If you are interested send me your skype via comunity tool, and also if you know other friend regs that play those limits there invite them plz
