Many players who check bubble situation in mr/f instead of shove/fold in HRC will see that it's more profitable to just shove because players will be correct to 3bet you very wide.
Here is an example of how I apply pressure even after the bubble.
Villian is an unknown 29/15 over 48 hands.
I decide to 3bet small to give myself an option to fold against 4bets and still get value from re-stealing.
He surprises by flating.
I decide to go for a check/raise instead of a cbet and here's why:
A. He can call and put me in an awkward spot on the turn.
B. A Cbet would put me as the short stack
C. When check/raising, I'm guessing that he's not good enough to estimate my range and will just get scared by the check raise that he will fold all of his range, and here's why:
Most higher PP he will stackoff pre. broadway hands that he's just stabbing with are going to fold even with an ace. FD and SD are folding as they are not getting good enough odds to call because of ICM and bubble effects. He can only call here with a set, which is also improbable because as I said i don't expect him to flat PP
What do you guys think about my unusual line here in a $15 SNG?
