NL2 AKo Do you push or fold after a 4bet in this spot.

From what i see you only have 5 hands from Villain, i find that a bit too small to judge his range, so I'd consider him unknown. The push is imho unnecessary since you have already driven everybody else out of the game and you also know that his hand is good enough to 4bet you pre, so I'd have estimated him on AA,KK,QQ or AK, so there's not much good coming from that push.

I would fold on the spot. You just don't have alot if stats against villain. And at NL2, these 4-bets generally mean you are either waaaaay behind, or hoping for a flip.

I know from personal experience at 2NL myself it's tough to let AK go against villains But for 100BB and with the amount or lack there of stats on him I'd let it go.

At times entering a table with 40-50BB I may have stacked off against him then but that decision would still be based on the information I'd have on him. His 4bet or anyone at this level is usually screaming they are strong so I let'em have it and wait for another opportunity to bust him.

After reading my own reply I think I found a leak of my own. I won't change this either I'll post this and see if others agree but my reply about stacking off 40-50bb with AK against said villan good or bad?

3bet smaller, call the 4bet.

So basically you got ace high by going all in, if MP has a pair of anything he wins but more likely AA from his betting am I right?, (been playing couple of months now and getting bored)

This is not a steal resteal spot at all. So yeh 3b smaller. Call 4b (if 4b size isnt too big). But vs unknown you can even cold call an open and play postflop if you feeel you have better postflop skill than him. Tight is right at micros. Have a plan if 3b pre. Vs unknown you cant have a plan by stacking here for hope hes lagfish.

5 hands is no hands. Smallest sample to start looking at hands from I would say is around 50, and even that is tiny.
stacking off with AK is just bad, what's the point in gambling and not knowing for certain when you could just wait for a better spot to stick it in knowing your a favorite?
Vs most of th things he'll call with will most likely be a flip anyway, so in my opinion I'd rather not flip 4stackz because it's making you nothing in the long run unless you have solid reads.

Here's how I would think about this at the table.
Calling a 4bet with AK in the SB is a disaster in my opinion. What flop are you hoping for Axx or Kxx or even AKx? You already think villain's range is nut-heavy so you'd stack off there anyway in a 4bet pot, it would be silly to fold if you hit, yes?
However, you most likely wouldn't get JJ/QQ to stack off with you on a K high or A high board either, so no more point in calling AK OOP in that case.
Your best hope is TJQr flop and then you may even get tight AA to fold so that doesn't work either.

We need to remember that a 3bet from SB on FR is a very strong move, so villain's 4bet is very nearly always the nuts.

So, no call and no push leaves...♠_thumbsup:

AK is always tricky in full ring games out of position and without initiative. I played FR a lot in a previous life and if I raised AK from early position and got 3bet by a reggish type I learned to fold for similar reasons to above.

Feel free to shoot me down though, I'm always more than willing to learn and the game may have changed in the meantime.
