Although it was very Ioose, I tried to steal although.
I couldn't steal, but I have bottom pair on flop.
I did continuation bed to protect my hand
and to get value from flash draw.
Then, BB raised!
Since the amount is not high and I doubted BB had nothing,
I called.

Turn was A.
I called again since, he could easily bluff.

River was lag unless BB had straight draw.
BB bet very small,
so,I called.

My question is what does raise mean on flop?
I called BB's raise since I thought BB's range was very wide,
but it was bad call?

Thank you.

If you have no read that BB is overfolding pre u should definitely fold T3o pre.

Calling the raise on the flop is imo bad u are very low on your range w. bottom pair and you have to fold on turn barrel very often - so I think it's a bad call. I think better option is to go for ch/call on the flop and see how the turn goes - maybe bluff the river if villain checks turn. As played I think turning our hand into 3bet bluff on the flop is an option if we expect villain to bluffraise the flop often with broadway hands he can't continue with and we also block the set of threes. Calling down is terrible with bottompair.

Hey guys,

Preflop is generally going to be a fold unless we have reads on BB's fold to SB steal.

Flop cbet is fine, our hand is vulnerable and needs protection but I recommend playing bet/fold on the flop here. There is of course the chance our opponent is bluffing but he likely will not be bluffing frequently enough to make this a profitable calldown.

Thank you very much for your comment.
Through you comment,
I learned that I should not afraid of changing my hand to bluff
if I want to exploit BB's bluff play.
Especially, in this case,
I have 5 outs unless BB has sets,
even if BB calls my flop 3-bet.

And I think I am too loose if i have suited hands.
I need to think of my open range.

Thank you.

Yes, I c-bet because I learned from you video that we should c-bet with vulnerable hand.
As tukioppilas62 and you tell me,
I shouldn't open without any reading of other's opponent.

I'll keep in my mind to think whether this option is profitable or not
(I now realize that it is obvious that my option was unprofitable).

Thank you very much!

This is a reasonable hand to bet/3b the flop w as a bluff. You block some of his made hand combos and if he flats he will usually have a draw, allowing for some huge exploitive plays from u (like check jamming a blank turn)

I generally dont like bet/calling a bottompair hand esp when u are oop. Ip realises too much of his equity even w very weak bluffs.

I'm very appreciate your comment.

I'm sorry I have a question in your comment.

You block some of his made hand combos

What does this mean?
It means that since I have a pair of 4,
opponents can nearly make two pair,
and is this what you want to say?

I'm sorry I haven't understand block effect,
If I'm misunderstanding,
please give me some comment.

By giving some comment,
I understand the difficulty of out of position more.
I need to construct my bet strategy.

Thank you very much! zzzzzz

i like the line bet/3bet, but why check jamming turn? I think if villain has a draw is never going to bet the turn with the draw, i think he will most of the time check back

Hi,

What about line call flop and c/shove good turn? If he check back we can check on blanks and overbet on flushes and broadways? Thats my default play

thank you, I understand.

cantunho:
In this case,
since turn is A, it is possible that villain will bluff.
But I have no information about villain,
this might be my imagination.
Yes, I now realize that information of villain is really important.

GingerKid:
I think it is strange to check on the flop if original raiser has flush draw (at least in my case)
and I think I cannot represent flush on the turn.
But, I do not overbet a lot, I have not understood the efficiency of overbet, yet.

Then just try to overbetting river 150% pot once villian calls you flop and turn on drawy board, and you will soon understand the effect of overbet vs capt range. Then start overbetting turn, after villian calls flop on very drawy board.
