today i teach one of my friends (NL25) how to play. and I play zoom500 to show him .
he is surprised what the fuck, your play is so simple , poker seems to be overcomplicated

How much had your friend played before and how is he getting on at NL25?
I know you have been considering dropping poker - imo I think that not even keeping poker as a part-time investment seems quite a waste having built the necessary skills to turn a profit at it. I appreciate that the decision is infinitely more detailed then that and is a personal call but take heart at what you have already achieved in poker even if you doubt you can maintain it at the moment.

Peace!

hi, he played for like 4.5year, longer than me. but he still can't not beat NL25
I just back from ocean musuem, it's very fun,:f_cool:

if fact i don't need too much money anymore, because in poker, u can live a ok life but u can never be rich if u play only 500zoom, u can easily eat what u want, buy nomral stuff, but u can't never have 3 porsche car, u can't now have 3 boats , u can not have a private helicopter.

in my country, if I play 1 hour a day, I can have a salary twice a hicg school teacher. so I don't need to play so long time now, i would seriously consider if I should go sne next year

why some oldschool regs still play poker, they can't win at this game anymore :(
they lose money after rakeback, and ruin the game ecosystem.

That is an interesting comment.
Aren't you happy that they are still playing "the old way"?

How can they be "ruining the game ecosystem" by playing badly?

Just curious,

hi, best regs can't not win too much money from bad reg becasue of rake

but they share the fish , which is our target.

even worst regs are far stronger than fish

Ah I see.
Once I've identified a player as strong, I try to keep them across from me so they're neither trying to steal from me, nor I from them. Can't always be done though...

Best of luck in 2015!

hi, i am back.

little update,
becasue zoom500 is very very very tough now in 2015, very few fish
and a lot of worst reg"s" at zoom500 still play very well, they were big winner or solid winner maybe 3 months ago, but now they were losing for 3 months. they know when to call down, when to give up, when to bluff , when to check
but they still can't beat the game, which is a very sad thing for me too. becasue i just see in a forseeable future, i might be one of them

becasue i keep losing at zoom500 a lot in december and january, so I play some zoom200....
the game is just unimaginably soft........i think 4bb/100 at z200 is very easy for me, but i don't see any point of playin zoom200 4bb/100 for me now, because hourly is too low, so I would try to back to zoom500 soon, try some new play strategy

Depending on how many hands you average per hour, $8 per hundred hands isn't so low, no?
Do you do a lot of work off the tables to keep up at NL500?

Glad to hear you are back at it mate - keep us posted.

hi, today is good two,
have two seesion
one +2200usd with only 200ev
second one -1500usd in 20 mins but finally make it back to +200,

yes, I do off table work too, but i only watch poker vids and see how my opponents play in my hm database
I don't analyze hands in detail, but I still spend at least 1 hour a day doing stuff I mentioned above,
and I don't see them as a work, I enjoy them too :f_drink::f_drink:

I agree, the river shove is idiotic to say at least. I see this type of play at NL2 and my live games (around $5-$10), couldn't possibly believe people actually do that on higher limits online.

Liked the way you talk about poker, will follow the action around here. Best of luck.

I guess they try to scare you off with the money?

Keep up the good grind, one day I'll reach you ;)

nathanrenard ,
u would definitely reach me one day if u work harder than me, :f_drink:
i try some live games last month, but I sincerely don't like it
although I mihgt make a little more money than online grinding
but it's so boring,. I like poker not only for money, I like it becasue i like to compete with good player too

let's say, If I give u money 1000usd every day but u have to play papper sissor stone for 8 hours a day
ya, u might be happy money wise- but u are not happy job-wise
