Thanks, man!
Soooo, had my first session with w34z3l today. Have to say that he was great, as always.
We did some database analysis where he spotted a couple of leaks (probably more than a couple
) and we made priorities of dealing with them. There are probably some more leaks, which we will discuss in the next session and the plan afterwards is to dedicate a session to each of them, according to the priorities. I didn't remember all the stuff (waitting for the video), but basically, most of them are comming from the blinds, where I'm too tight, especially with cold callings on the BB and bluff 3-betting from SB and BB. I should also increase my 3bet from all the positions and be a little more loose/aggressive postflop. Would write about the leaks more after rewatching the video. For now, I can officially state that my way to improvement started today and the goal is beating NL50 by the end of 2015!
I'm sure that this is realistic and reachable. For that reason, I will slightly edit a tittle of the blog, with w34z3l's permission - "Speeding up with w34z3l". ♦
After paying for coachings and cashing out the rakeback, the current bankroll stands at €782,81, so €100 more for taking 4 bi's shots at NL20!
Take care!
Just received a great wish from another player (regular fish) at iPoker.
So, we had some hands each other where he lost some money and after this one...

No problem! Glad you like it!
The new year begins, hopefully much better poker-wise for me than the previous was. I closed 2014. with one ugly session, which, in a way, describes my all year of poker, session where nothing works, nothing hits and nothing escapes from the Murphy's law, followed with some bad decisions and tilting moves. Hi, guys!
Didn't post here for a while, so time to share some information.
The most important thing is that I switched to PokerStars and decided to grind the first deposit bonus there. I have a rakeback deal at iPoker, but with the FD bonus, VIP Stellar Rewards and Cash Bonuses + smaller rake, the "real" rake at Stars for me would be about 1-1,5 bb/100 higher than on iPoker. It's not a huge difference and I needed a change, so decided to start a year with the new site. I believe that I don't have to talk about the software differences. It's like switching a donkey with the horse. No lags, no log in problems, no disconnection problems... But probably the most important to me is that there is always a traffic at NL10 Zoom, as opposed to iPoker, where NL10 Speed is played only afternoon (I wonder where are those NL10 bots...
). This is cool because I can play whenewer I want, which allows me to organize the time with more flexibility.
For now, I mainly focus to fix some of the leaks that w34z3l found and that we talked about in the first coaching session. Here are all the leaks we discussed (there are probably some more):
Cold-calling too less from the BB
Being too passive in situations where facing double-check when IP or check from PFR when OOP
Defending too tight BB vs SB
3betting too tight from all positions
Leading with the too low frequency in multi-way pots
Opening too tight from the BTN
Opening too tight from the SB
Folding too much to 3bets
Raising flops with the too low frequency
Cbetting with little too low frequency
The first two cause the most dammage (loses), so I started to deal with those, along with the third. I will cover all of them in each coaching session with w34z3l, and I will also follow the new video series of him, "Red Line Rampage", which would probably also help me alot. I think I allready improve my play from the blinds, which could be seen in stats. For example, my Cold Call BB vs BTN open was about 15% before, and now is about 30%, which is great. It's too early to speak about the profit difference, but for now my red line is for 2,5 bb/100 higher than it was, and there is still alot space to improve. My blue line is a bit low, but I had a couple of coolers which affect on it pretty much in the sample size of 5k hands. Here are the biggest loses:

Since the most of the biggest loses where played ok, I can say that the variance hits me probably more than I deserved, but what can do. What I'm trying to do is to set the goals related to the stats, not the profit. For example, when starting a session, I try to think like "Ok, I need to concentrate to BB play and have a certain CC and 3b stat against BTN open after some sample", and not "I have to win that session". I believe that would result in playing less scared money and being more concentrate of how I play the hands. Will probably try to have like 10k hands at Stars before arranging another session with w34z3l.
Stay tuned!
I read somewhere on 2+2 i think, when they asked "red baron" how much wr he would acomplished on nl10 zoom, he told about 12-15bb! i dunno how to interpret this

Hero checks, BTN checks
Hit a gutshot, but would probably check/fold. Think that check/raising would maybe be a good option. Anyway, when he checked back, I assume four things: 1. He doesn't have a K (I think he wouldn't slowplay even KK there), 2. He doesn't have Aces, 3. He doesn' have a flushdraw, 4. He doesn't have QJ.
Turn: ($1.75) K

Hero checks, BTN bets $0.80, Hero raises to $2.50, BTN calls $1.70
Probably leading would be an ok option, as played on the flop. When he bets now, I believe he is just trying to take the pot down. He occasionaly may have Tx or QQ-JJ, although, I would expect him to cbet those on the flop. Most likelly he has 3rd pair or A-high. So, I decided to raise after checking. When he calls, I still think he is pretty weak and maybe has A♦: x. or any hand with
River: ($6.75) 4

Hero bets $7.54 and is all-in, BTN folds
Since he is weak and the flushdraw missed, I decided to shove and make him fold all pairs. Maybe in some cases I have the best hand, so check/calling would be an ok on the turn and river, but was more fun like that.

...most of the time you are right, they aren't good. But here's why you didn't fold them.
Hi, all!
As you (maybe) know, I moved to PokerStars recently. Firstily was like 50$ down, playing NL10. Nothing dramatic, I would say. Had a couple of coolers and stuff. Afterwards the things started to go my way. PokerStars openned NL16 Zoom tables, so I switched there since I have a roll slighty too big for NL10, but not enough for NL25 yet. The Holdem Manager 2 HUD still doesn't work at NL16, but the tables are full of fish, so I decided to give it a try. BINGO! The people were playing with random stacks and maybe one or two players in the hand were having full stacks. You know what does that mean.
I supose the regs are still avoiding NL16 because it's a weird limit and because of HUD issues. From my experience, it's not a big issue at all, because the opponents are so bad and it's much more profitable to play NL16 withoud HUD than NL10 with the HUD. Maybe I'm just running good, but I wouldn't say so. Players are much better at NL10 atm. The situation has slightly changed since the introductiong of the limit because there are a bit more regs, but I think it's still more profitable than NL10. Here is the NL16 graph:

...and NL10/NL16 combined:

I play little at iPoker only to retain the gold status here, since my PokerStars account isn't tracked, but it seems that iPoker is calling me to abandon Stars. Here is the iPoker NL10 graph:

...the winrate there is 34,7 bb/100.
I have a feeling that I slightly improved my play, which can be seen in the red line. Even mostly without a HUD, my Stars non-showdown winnings are -10,33 bb/100, which is great compared to my standard -15 bb/100. Tomorrow will have a 2nd session with w34z3l, so I'm looking forward to learn some new staff and to continue working on fixing the leaks. I need a few more stacks to reach 44 buy-ins for NL25 to take 4 buy-ins shot there. I hope I can do that this month. If not, I'm sure the next month will take my first NL25 shots for sure. So excited!
