My stats: 28/24/3.3/170hands
his: 14/12/2.0, 83hands

My image is, well, laggy, and it may or may not have been at that table that I made some pretty sick loose calls, so I'm probably not considered very consistent/solid/...

I'm getting rusty from not playing for a long time, so please excuse the easy hand ;)

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $2(BB) Party Game#7570531953

SB ($65.74)
BB ($376)
UTG ($211)
UTG+1 ($214)
CO ($200)
Hero ($310)

Dealt to Hero 7♥8♣

call, fold, fold, Hero raises to $10, fold, call, call,

FLOP ($31) 4♦8♦2♠

check, check, Hero bets $20, BB calls $20, UTG folds,

TURN ($71) 4♦8♦2♠7♠

check, Hero bets $51, BB calls $51,

RIVER ($173) 4♦8♦2♠7♠3♠

BB bets $111

the great return of swissmoumout :P

I fold feeling pretty good about it here without further reads.

imo only hand that he can represent is set.
Consider your image imo you can call. He would probably c/r multiway with set, since it is drawy board and if he hit 77/33 then I´m happy with that (rather 77 than 33).

I don't think he has set ever in that spot or he's just lol bad.
I also don't think he bluffs a busted draw and he doesn't bet a worse 2 pair

so he has us beat way more often than we need in order to call.

i bet more on the flop but i think as played a call on the river is best; i think this line is rarely a bluff, but he could be valuebetting worse hands in this spot given your image

i am actualy calling thinking i am ahead a bunch here . i dont expect him almost never to show up with set or 56 but i do expect him to bluff some busted draws or to show up with a backdoor spade flush

he is a huge nit, no way he is capable of doing this

i can expect him to show up with hands like 43 32 as well as some random bluffs some of the time. remember that his entire range is pretty narrow: we've all but eliminated sets already.. like the only hand i can realistically believe he plays this way would be A :spade:5 :spade:

Hm, actually I disagree with the majority of you. I think this line looks like some kinda kombo draw. Something like gut shot pls flushdraw or pair plus what ever. 56 is also a possibility. Sure, he can also have the busted fd. But would he play it like that? Not very often imo. His line looks so weird that I give him credit for the bet and fold. I see him having a straight pretty often. Due to your image I don't expect him to bluff here very often. And what hand he plays for value like that, that we beat? Set is also possible of course.

Best regards,

Hmpf. I don't really see a nit like that calling OOP with a suited connector. It's possible, but it's not the biggest part of his range. And he probably plays a set faster than this. I'm quite clueless here actually, and when I'm clueless I tend to look the guy up because I want to know what he's doing this with. 14/12/2 doesn't mean a thing in terms of how capable he is of bluffing a busted draw or making some weird play with an overpair.
