3-betting the flop this deep can get quite ugly when you face a 4-bet and most of his value hands and semibluffs generally don't just call a 3-bet.

And as played what's his range there for checking turn? Can we not do an overbet river, or even a regular bet? We have Kx afterall.

Exactly but calling isn't exactly a great option because we miss a lot and still want to see a river often so how do we plan to play turn? Just see what he does and go from there?

He could be taking the free card w/ spades, or giving up his gutshot type bluffs or so i'm not really sure. Yeah bluffing that river does make sense.

Your draw isn't that strong that you must see a river everytime.

The problem with 3-betting is that all the hands that you want to cooler will shove on you or at least 3bet, and then what? Fold your draw + overs?

He is capped for checking turn so never a strong range. Problem is we don't rep much but at 20nl that's less relevant.

Being deep we do have a bit more maneuverability but I agree that we don't rep much. I can see the merits of bluffing the river and we stand to fold out some of his Ax hands that beat us and I actually think he could have some 99/88/77 type hands that he bluffs on the flop. The combination of his flop raise plus turn check back also bodes well in terms of capping his range so I do like bluffing the river there. I'm not sure if we need to risk the extra bbs by overbetting though.

If villain checks turn he generally doesn't have a value hand, or not a strong one.

So he is full of draws or weaker pairs which will have a harder time doing much,.
